Polynomials in XII GradeIn previous article we had introduced the whole scenario of grade XIIth math and now from here we will start the proper demonstration of each and every topic one by one. Today’s topic is polynomials and their solution by using factoring technique. When the term polynomial arises then its application, rational expression also comes into the account. It is expected from students of this class like you to have the knowledge of polynomials, still for making you guys remind about polynomials, let us start a fast flash back of polynomials:

How to factor trinomials The summation of three monomials is known as a trinomial. Here, "tri" means "three". Trinomials contain three terms. For example, x + 7y + 6z is a trinomial with three terms x, 7y and 6z. x4y + 5z + 6 is a trinomial with three terms x4y, 5z and 6. A Trinomial can be defined as a polynomial with only three terms. When operating with a trinomial, the following concepts are to be understood first:

I've always had a fear of angles. And polynomials.

This little bugger is deceiving. This wonderful model is also found in my step mom’s garden in front of my house. When I first glanced at the picture I thought it was going to be a cubic model. But when I modeled it I found out that a cubic did not fit very well. The cubic is seen by the green equation. So I pondered for awhile and figured out that I should try a quartic. The quartic is seen by the red line. This is a better model for the metal bird seed holder. I should have altered the domain on this model to so people could focus on just the curves. If you look at just the curves and not “tails” of each polynomial then you would see that the red line fits best!

Graphing rational functions Rational function can be defined as Ratio of two Polynomials. Numerator and denominator values are present in case of Rational Function, and value present in denominator of rational function cannot be equals to zero. In other words rational function can be defined as ratio of two polynomials. For example: u2 + 9 / u + 5, as it is the ratio of two polynomials. Now we will discuss Graphing of simple rational Functions.
