This is a fairly recent shot of my newest kitty (in the headlock) and PuttPutt holding her so she doesn't escape her preening. My new kitty's name is Polly Dactyl and she has no tail (just a tail that looks like a bobcat) and an extra thumb, making it look like she has big mittens on---which is characteristic of polydactyl cats! Obviously, nothing here yet to take any photos of!
I was very happy to discover the Pawsitive Café in Rochester, NY when I visited my family recently. Definitely stop by if you are in the area. All of the cats, including Yeti, can be adopted if they are not wearing a bowtie (those cats are already in the process of being adopted) and they have drinks, treats, and a nice cozy atmosphere. If I still lived in Rochester, I would definitely go there to adopt my next cat but as a guest visiting it was still nice to have some extra cat cuddles around Catmas. You never can have too many!

Ernest Hemingway was allegedly fond of cats, after being given a 6-toed cat (polydactyl) for "good fortune."
As Hemingway is one of my favorite authors, we visited his Key West residence. On our visit there, many polydactyl cats were in residence, some descendants of "Snow White", the original Hemingway cat. The Key West home of Hemingway has a cat "memorial cemetery" and an "open air cat hotel" of sorts.
This cat was seen on the paved walk at the Hemingway residence on Key West, Florida
My Niece Vicky with her adopted Kitty Athena,
The Kitty is polydactyl
Gave her the name after she visited Athens Greece.
They are looking at some birds outside. This is an old film shot, and the color is not so good, but we have always liked this photo, and it shows some classic cat behavior. Gone, but not forgotten.
This photo was pre-approved for the November 5th Happy Caturday! theme by Lana. Photo taken by Ron.
Batman is showing off his big polydactyl paws. He has two extra toes on each front foot. That's Jimmy in the background.
Sally has been buying Temptations cat treats with every "Chewy" (online pet supplies) order. We just keep stuffing them in the cabinet, so I wanted to see how many we had (answer: 18)...
Batman knows what they are.
(For those who don't know Batman) He has huge paws because he is polydactyl. His extra toes are on his front paws.
This is a multi-purpose look Batman uses for:
"Are you going to brush me?"
"Are you going to pet me?"
"Are you going to feed me?"
Batman has only recently been coming into my (& Puddy's) bedroom, staying to lounge around after he has checked to see if I forgot to pick up Puddy's food.
This is actually a piece of cat furniture made of wool called a cat cave. Instead, Aphrodite crushed it and made it into the bed you see.
Muse thinks, "I know what I should do. I should grab Batman's enormous paw*."
THE END
* Batman is a polydactyl. And he does have enormous paws.
Batman is napping contentedly, with one of his giant polydactyl paws draped over the edge of the pillow.
"Ooh! Ooh! Is it all for me?!?!" Margo loved to eat corn husks. Of course, we didn't let her eat these, most of them were too tough. Gone, but not forgotten.
Update: I have worked on this photo to make it easier to see Margo. Re-processed and re-posted.
