Aricia agestis,Argus marrón,Morena serrana.
Mariposa de la familia "Lycaenidae" y del género "Aricia". Se encuentra en todo el poleártico Norte hasta el Norte de Dinamarca y el este de Siberia y Tian Shan. Es una especie muy extendida y común que se encuentra en la mayor parte de Europa,con la excepción de los países escandinavos,Irlanda y Norte de Gran Bretaña.También ocurre en el Norte de África,Oriente Medio y Asia templada como Extremo Oriente,Siberia y Amur.
Dos generaciones superpuestas,emergentes en Mayo y Agosto,pero en la región mediterránea por lo general hay 3 crías, en Abril,Julio y Octubre.
Hábitats: Principalmente en pastizales donde abundan las Jaras y preferiblemente orientados al Sur.
Ciclo vital: Los machos comienzan a surgir a principios de Mayo,y las hembras sobre una semana más tarde. Tienen una vida de aproximadamente 2 semanas,pero en promedio la mayoría vive menos de una semana.
Los huevos blanquecinos apagados en forma de disco son depositados individualmente en el envés de las hojas de la Jara. Cuando las orugas son jóvenes pican el lado inferior de las hojas dejando la cutícula superior intacta,lo que crea parches brillantes visibles en la superficie superior.
La larva adulta es regordeta y verde,con una franja de color púrpura debajo de los espiráculos y otra en la espalda. Se alimenta por el día, descansando en el haz de las hojas y es atendida por hormigas que la alimentan con una secreción azucarada. La crisálida se forma en Julio en el suelo y cuenta también con la presencia de hormigas que la entierran debajo de la superficie.
La segunda generación de adultos emerge a mediados de Julio y continua hasta bien entrado Agosto. Las orugas resultantes de esta camada entran en ibernación siendo a un bastante pequeñas,en el segundo o tercero estadio.La diapausa continua hasta Febrero o Marzo del año siguiente que despiertan y reanudan la alimentación.

So excited about this!
Curious about the response too.... pole dancing is becoming more and more mainstream and is (hopefully) losing its reputation as 'just being for strippers'. Its not people! Anyone can be a stripper... but to perform proper pole moves requires a lot of strength and grace. Still not convinced? Youtube performances by Felix Cane and Jenyne Butterfly.... two of the worlds top pole dancers and also two of my favourite performers. If seeing their work doesn't change your mind, I'm not sure what will!

I learnt this move especially for this photo... it took a while but I got there in the end!
I was going to use a different style with this but I thought the black and white similar to Pole Art - Split Grip: www.flickr.com/photos/licquidgoldphotography/5173497946/ complemented this image most effectively than a colour version.
