The Polar Vantage V2 sport watch has an impressive arsenal of LED's and photodetectors placed in between, constituting an array of PPG (Photoplethysmography) sensors. The different wavelengths (colors) allow the detection of blood flow at different depths and for most skin types, before a highly optimized algorithm combines and untangles all those signals and figures out how fast your heart beats. Oh, and this has to run on a single battery charge for about a week... 😊
These are the instruments i need to measure my depth, divetime, time, cardiac rithm.
The diving depth is the most important information since it keeps me alive because of oxygen toxicity. I have this information always double. The Uwatec Military OX is my 1st source analog depthmeter and i keep the Scubapro SG-12 digital bottomtimer as backup. I prefer the SG-12 bottomtimer over the newer generation 330m bottomtimer since the SG-12 count to 199min. and the others to 99minutes. If you dive often, and you do your paperwork every next day it is easier to have actual information and not indicational information.
Day.6: 32 min. of speed walking at a speed of 3.5 with an incline of 10.0 (the max incline on my treadmill) lol. AND 35 minutes of Billy's Ab Bootcamp! #refreshing #fit #motivated #2013 #newgoals #newyear #polarwatch
