Another of my favourite images. No surprise another pinhole. Printed with the wonderful Polaroid Lab printer. Really enjoying these little prints.

Happy RoidWeek everyone !!

RoidWeek 2021 | Day 1

Finally got around to spending some time working out the image corrections needed for printing on Polaroid B&W iType on the Polaroid Lab Printer.

Then spent some more time getting the lift process "perfected". The B&W film has a milky coating (which doesn't appear to come off) on what would be the top side which reduces contrast of the lifts. I "fixed" this by flipping my images before printing and mounting the lifts milky side down.

Very fresh prints and very hot water make the separation of Polaroid layers quite simple.

Polaroid Week AW 2019 - Day 4 #1

In April 2019, a group of friends and I did the ultimate road trip up in the Scottish Highlands, driving the now infamous North Coast 500 route.

Collage created from actual polaroids taken with a camera, and also a print from the recently launched PolaroidLab

series: burning trees

trees fight climate change

so let us all start protect them instead of destroying our woodlands.

first fact: 400+ tonnes carbon per hectare, that's how much a young wood with mixed native species can lock up in trees, roots and soil.

Had to use canva to get this to fit correctly here to share it. Took this probably 2-3 years ago and forgot about it until I came across it a couple of months ago and was like yep, scan and share lol. It’s fitting because in two days - the start of Polaroid Week and Easter, he turns 11 years old. Back in 2014, he was born on Easter Sunday then too. He’s less of a cowboy now and more into dirt bikes and 4-wheelers and I’m okay with that. He’s also less willing to let me take pictures of him and that, I’m not ready for. Or for how fast he keeps hitting growth spurts!

another 3d object I made inspired by research in bioengineered intelligence research. printed on instant film.

Originalen: Skud med Tri-x, Summaron og Leica M4 som overført til polaroid og siden løftet fra dets baggrund.

Teknikken kræver tålmodighed, men den er sjov og kan kombineres med et hav af udtryksformer.

dogleaps (v1.0)

I owe credit to this image to @crowflys which is a tribute to her fantabulous art. A few years ago when I first discovered Barbara, I came up with the idea of a tribute #dogleaps and started making digital images. It was only this month I finally got a refurb Polaroid Lab. Looking through my decades long archive of Polaroid prints, I realized that my most creative works came from my Vivitar Instant Slide Printer, so I finally got my own Polaroid Lab.

Camera: Polaroid Lab

Film: Polaroid Color i-Type (expired film that came with refurb Lab and had 3 shots left)

This was an iPhone snap that I printed out on the Lab. I don’t remember what caused the distortion in the original image, probably taken through a rainy window or something or I was playing with filters, who knows? I sure don’t because I don’t make notes for myself lol.

Generated by Wombo Dream with prompt "Who would think that they would freak out in the suburbs", quote thanks to Frank Zappa. Printed on Polaroid instant film on the Polaroid Lab printer.

Polaroid Week AW 2019 - Day 1 #1 - Standing on the shoulder of giants

Well, this has taken a LONG time! This was originally taken on a Sony Z3 smartphone in 2014, and I remember trying to produce this on the InstantLab back then but I didn't like the results.

Fast forward nearly 5 years since we went to Iceland, and now with the PolaroidLab along with the excellent Beta 1 I Type film with its strong contrasts, I can finally present the collage I wanted to do all those years ago.
