And for 121 pictures in 2021 #5 At a loose end.
This is one of several throw pillows that i made using old t-shirts. I made them a few years ago, as Chrisrmas gifts for relatives. This is the only one that i saved.
Shared for Smile on Saturday theme: Recycled.
I was tagged by ToveM to post 11 little known facts about myself.
1- I'm a Libra and have a really hard time making decisions.
2- I'm the oldest child of two. I'm almost nine years older than my sister, Amy.
3- I played the clarinet for 9 years. I marched in the 1983 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
4- I am a fount of useless knowledge (movie trivia, etc).
5- One of my other favorite hobbies is interior decorating. I would love to make a business out of it someday.
6- I am parts English, Scottish, Irish and Cherokee Indian. When I tan I always turn red and then get pretty dark. I have the Irish temper, though.
7- Before I became a human nurse (RN, BSN).......I was an animal nurse (veterinary technician). I have a deep love for all animals.
8- I've moved over 20 times in my lifetime (my dad worked for Wal-Mart and we moved around a lot). I've been in my current house for 7 1/2 years, which is the longest I have ever lived in one place.
9- I love all things Disney! We usually go to Disney World once a year! It never gets old!
10- I am a little OCD. I will check repeatedly to make sure doors and windows are locked every night and make sure the security system is on even though I know that everything is secure.
11- I am blessed with wonderful family and friends. Spending time with them is my favorite thing to do. If I can spend time with them at the beach or the lake........well, it just make times with them THAT much better.
WHEW! That was hard!
O.K. I was also tagged by Tracey to post a pic of myself 10 years of age or younger.......so here goes.

Close to one year ago I began this small photo collage. I started the project in August, taking the bottom left corner of the photo and then the rest of the photo in clockwise direction. Each corner represents one of the four seasons of the same tree going in order through summer, fall, winter, and finally spring.

It's been so long since I've used Flickr that I had forgotten the clock resets at 8PM. So while this is technically my second photo for day three, I won't be able to add it because I added a photo yesterday past 8.

As opposed to buying a bag of carrots at the local grocery, the fresh bunch you can pull from the ground have a sweetness unparalleled by any grocer. They come with their own dirt and have that deep orange associated with a true carrot. For me, it's just apart of living in an area that allows me to grow my own produce, which can be difficult for most of urban America.
I spotted this bad boy parked in a street in San Francisco, CA. It was love at first sight. I quickly took this picture as the owner was about to drive off. ;)
Have a great week y'all!
I am running baby! - 100 Yard Dash by Raphael Saadiq --New tune I recently discovered. :)
[lyrics]
Your love gets stronger
And it feels like everyday it's getting longer
I feel your love like a monkey on my back
Girl your honey's so big see I can feel the attack
Oh, oh, ....

Down in Newport News the first day of December had temperatures well into the lower seventies. Everyone was sporting shorts and t-shirts. Myself and a group of friends went exploring at some local locations just outside of campus. This mysterious pathway surrounded by woods is part of a five mile walking trail called The Noland Trail.

Before my friends and I explored the Noland Trail we found a little secluded beach near campus. There was an overlook and what appeared to be remnants of an old pier raised out of the water.

I had been seeking to photograph some of the wonderful colors of my hometown and area. This came unexpected while I was strolling through the cemetery in Harrisonburg.

This barn has been in the family for years. First belonging to my great grandfather and now to my uncle. I have fond memories of the barn in working condition housing cows. I was blessed to be able to spend a fair amount of time around here as a child, and I still find myself walking through the same field quite often. It's a common sight to find barns like this one scattered through the area, many of them in disrepair.
