Met her while hanging around the Wonder Woman photo-shoot meetup on Friday morning. I figured out right away what she and her friends were dressed as Gijinka versions of Pokémon; Umbreon in her case. Gijinka = Japanese term for a humanized version of something non-human (animal, object, etc.).

Since Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire came out recently, I decided to build another figure similar to X and Zero to commemorate the games. I say that this figure is similar to the others, but its construction (aside from the face) is entirely different. I also threw together a Treeko (the starter that I picked) because what's a trainer without his Pokémon?
Leaving their hometown of Holladay, cousins Chase Chambers and Ellie Fay begin their quest to become Pokémon masters by gathering gym badges and competing in Obsidian City’s Championship League.
At the start of their quest Chase and Ellie meet two aspiring P.S.R. (Pokemon Search and Rescue) recruits named Summer Posy and Aiden Pyre. Summer and her Bulbasaur challenge Chase and his Eevee to their very first Pokemon duel. From this chance meeting a great friendship will blossom between these four Pokemon trainers with the promise of many adventures to follow.
This is just a quick throwaway project I built gradually over a few days or so. I plan on releasing a stop-motion Pokémon parody in the coming months, and this particular Hypno will make a brief appearance.
Some of the challenges of this model included keeping the body balanced, making the neck beard thing work, securing the head into the place, and creating the ears. In fact, I probably spent the most time working on those ears.

Here's my next batch of these highly addictive Pokemon.
This time I've created a cut out of a beach area next to a walk way that you could find in the game.
Alright, now that I've made some significant progress, I felt like showing off my party!
This is probably be what my party will look when the time comes to take on the Pokémon League. I finally got my hands on an Alolan Exeggutor and an Oranguru and I evolved my Slowbro! I've got quite the bond with my Munchlax and Slowbro, they'll now dodge attacks and not get poisoned or paralysed just out of pure love!
