Pointlessness Materialized.

They seem to love these canopy things over the doors of apartment buildings. I guess they save the entryway from a little bit of the snow and rain, but in Fargo, the wind is ALWAYS a factor - and this cannot prevent that! So the drifts are just as high, you get just as wet standing under this. Gotta love the logic, but it's lost in the icy tundra!!!

Geocaching around Urpeth, County Durham. 31st May 2013. Ref: D1009-17

Day One: man digs hole. Day 2: two men fill in hole.

for this sign!

disregard this, it's just a pretty cover :')

Was really pleased to get a shot of this from my lowly plebian bus to the airport while leaving Monaco. I think it's safe to assume that most people in Monaco who own superyachts already have insurance. If they don't, then I'm sure they employ people who can sort it out for them. Not to mention the fact that none of the above would be likely to be looking out their limo (or more likely, helicopter) windows and reacting to advertising for superyacht insurance. Very strange, but very typical of the pointless uber-bling which is Monaco.

Pointless railway built by Allied prisoners under the rule (torture) of Nippon Army. Finished on last day of WW2! Little used if ever.

Details being read by Sue & Dawn - I should have photographed all the sides.

Maybe once there was a bell... it is long gone.

truely bizzare shit. a portable TV with a torch which will shine in your eyes. My theory is CIA mind control gone wrong, released via the military onto the unsuspecting Okinawans.

just random pics made by whoever got the camera

Re-designed baked bean can.

" our memories reach back no further than yesterday; we are, as it were, strangers to ourselves.... that is but a natural consequence to a culture that consists entirely of imports and imitation... we absorb all our ideas ready-made, and therefore the indelible trace left in the mind by a progressive movement of ideas, which gives strength, does not shape our intellect... we are like children who have not been taught to think for themselves: when they become adults, they have nothing of their own --- all their knowledge is on the surface of their being, their soul is not within them " ---Pyotr Chaadaev

*** i have yet to read the book fully... and in reading it, i hope to find an answer to questions i have... a sort of cultural hunt...

Pointless hipster throwback or ingenious device that evokes a time when photography felt more “authentic”? That’s the question thrown up by the Instant Lab Universal, the latest brainchild of the Polaroid revivalists at the Impossible Project.

Songs by actors.

I worked them all out (an guessed the pointless one) XD

I like how this one shows that the season is starting to turn.

At the time, we hadn't had any cold nights (and we wouldn't have our first frost until late November), so most of these leaves dropped from the long summer drought.

Why is it the pointless padlock? All it does is prevent prams, pushchairs and the like from getting onto the Common via this route. It doesn't stop anything actually undesirable, because they can all get on there by other routes.

Puddles are neat.

I hope this at least provokes curiosity as to how I have this much free time in Med School to do silly things like this.

In the gardens of Jaguar Inn Hotel, they have this small chilling area with a few benches, but extreme heat, and bugs, and other aspects of tropical rain forest wilderness make it pretty pointless
