PA_633 [30 points]

This Rubik space-invader is located at Quai de Valmy on the corner of the Point de Ephémère.

To view the scene at Canal Saint Martin.

Note: this space invader was long time numbered PA_631 (also on the site of Invader that time), since the book l'Invasion de Paris 2.0 is published we learned that this is number 633.

Date of invasion: 15/12/2005

DELETED (May 2009)

[ Visited Rubik PA_633 only 3 days after invasion ]

Paris was smiling at me this morning during my morning walk through the city...

Location: Quai de Valmy, Paris 10ème (France)

Coordinates: Click on the coordinates to see the exact location on Google Maps:

48°52'54.4"N 2°22'08.0"E

Reason: A morning walk during my 844th overnight in Paris. I never know what the city of Paris has in mind for me and I like to be surprised. This morning I came along the Point Éphémère which is arts center on the Canal Saint-Martin with a spacious exhibition space, multifunctional concert hall and rehearsal studios. The exterior is richly decorated with street art. Including today this smiley. Artist is unknown to me but I like the positive vibe.

Remarkable: This location gave me inspiration for a self portrait earlier in history. Nine years ago!

PA_1148 [50 points]

Almost 5 years after the invasion of the other side by PA_872 (invasion date 03/08/2010, 50 points) the 'B-side' has invaded as well. Same invader, but inverted colors (the other side has a black space invader with a red flash!).

Other side:

Quai de Valmy | Usines Éphémeres 31/07/2017

The former Usines Éphémères (today referred as Point Éphémère) is the walhallah for street art. At least from the outside. From 2005 to 2009 Rubik space invader PA_633 was located here as well.

The maker of this spray paint mural is unknown.

Point Éphémère

Point Ephémère is a music venue in Paris, located at Canal Saint-Martin. Point Ephémère is a center for artistic events located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris in an old warehouse building. The venue combines artist in residence programming and live performances.

Point Ephémère is led by a group of people that fifteen years transformed squated buildings into temporary artist spaces. This dynamic art center opened October 13, 2004. It puts in place the necessary means to the home of artists (visual artists, musicians, dancers, designers) and provides tools for public recognition of their work. Before the building was used as the fire station of Chateau-Landon. Since opening, Point Ephémère hosts artists in residence spaces for (4 artists' studios, a dance studio, 5 music rehearsal studios) and offers a program of exhibitions, shows, concerts, parties, conferences, workshops, and unusual happenings. Point Ephémère hosts the festival AAO since its inception in 2009.

Point Ephémère is supported by the Mayor of Paris, the Regional Council of Île-de-France, the Direction régionale des affaires culturelles of Ile de France and CNV.
