this is just one of a bazillion beautiful scenes to behold at The Flower of Scotland. Read about it here on The SLuggle.
the title of the picture I thought should come from Scotland's Robert Burns, and it's from a lovely love poem called Composed in August which you can find here.
“I inhale loneliness like it is the sweet smell of virgin earth conquered by fiery rain drops. Within me, I'm a thousand others.
~Faraaz Kazi
I took this at Pitt Addington Marsh on our walk in the rain....you can see the raindrops in the water here.

“Poetry lifts the veil from the hidden beauty of the world, and makes familiar objects be as if they were not familiar.”

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
~Rumi
You were a fire, one that burned,
But in your ashes I've learned.
You demanded pieces of my soul,
The thrill turned toxic and out of control.
Jealousy flared, impatience grew,
I never knew the weight of secrets before you.
~ Poem by Bellaswan Garnet
When someone is inspired to create a Poem, he/she is uplifted!!
When someone is uplifted, he/she is temporarily found in a very original, private, personal world of Beauty (or not…), inspiration, and refinement, extreme pleasure (or not…). He/she feels strong emotions and sensations, while creating his/her poem; a huge creativity!!
Poetry in Nature is the creation of Mother Nature’s upliftment!! Which creates enchantment, creativity and inspiration in certain humans..
Lake Genval in Autumn is a Pure Poetry!
And it was at that age... Poetry arrived
in search of me. I don’t know, I don’t know where
it came from, from winter or a river.
I don’t know how or when,
no, they were not voices, they were not
words, nor silence,
but from a street I was summoned,
from the branches of night,
abruptly from the others,
among violent fires
or returning alone,
there I was without a face
and it touched me.
(Pablo Neruda)

“The poetry of the earth is never dead.” -John Keats
I’ve learned to cherish wilderness, which wasn’t always the case. Growing up around it made me take it for granted. Now, I realize how much a life outdoors is a life well lived. I always feel better after getting a dose of nature.
The last day of summer was a perfect, mild day in the low 70’s. Autumn announced itself with gusto, dropping the temps to the 50’s the next day. Quite the entrance!
“The evening advanced. The shadows lengthened. The waters of the lake grew pitchy black. The gliding of the ghostly swans became rare and more rare.” ~ Wilkie Collins.
"Flowers -- Well -- if anybody
Can the ecstasy define --
Half a transport -- half a trouble --
With which flowers humble men:
Anybody find the fountain
From which floods so contra flow --
I will give him all the Daisies
Which upon the hillside blow."
- Emily Dickinson

Great Egret - - - - - - ( Ardea alba, a.k.a. Casmerodius albus )
Headed for "home," I guess.

“Snow fills the frame of seeing.
It is a shimmer that has grown
on the world. Early stirrings
to a frozen day, to nothing,
after bitter trembling beneath the stars.
Arriving, refusing to evade,
like a crash, little more than an event,
a recurrence, light's recalcitrance
awakens us, leaving chalk marks
on the air, sketches to fix later
of where it has struck the cold.
Today, there are only diaphanous
snowflakes steadily falling there,
where the skinny creek had moved,
and now gobs of silence bunch all together,
as if for warmth, as if suckling from the stillness.”

Malin Head is located on the Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal, Ireland and is the most northerly point of the island of Ireland.
Malin Head gives its name to the Malin sea area. There is a weather station on the head, which is one of 22 such stations whose reports are broadcast as part of the BBC Shipping Forecast.
I love to listen to the shipping forecast, even though I don't fully understand it. It sounds like some sort of nautical poetry full of remote, wild coastal names and obscure weather terminology.
Malin:
Wind - West 5 to 7, then backing southwest 4 or 5 later.
Sea State - Rough or very rough.
Weather - Occasional rain or showers.
Visibility - Good, occasionally moderate.
When I hear it, I imagine some poor mariners, tossed and battered by the elements, listening to the same broadcast, hoping for some good news of better weather to come.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
(Psalm 33:18-22)
La vida sigue-dicen-,
pero no siempre es verdad.
A veces la vida no sigue.
A veces solo pasan los días-

Life goes on, they say,
but it is not always true.
Sometimes life does not follow.
Sometimes only the days pass
