El poble occità de Estahn (Estaing en francès) és molt espectacular, arraserat sota el seu ferm i fotogenic castell. Es troba a la riva del riu Lot, i en part son les arrels del que fou president de la República Francesa, Valery Giscard d'Estaign.

The beautiful village of Estaign,set by the river Lot and under it's mighty castle, is one of the most photogenic of our trip through Aveyron.
Part of the ancestors of the former French President Valery Giscard d'Estaing originated here.

Con formas imposibles, as rochas da Praia das Catedrais sorprenden porque se asemellan máis a un decorado, minuciosamente trazado, que a unha sucesión de furnas, pasadizos e arcos, converténdose nunha das praias máis bonitas do mundo.

CAPTADA EN EL BOSQUE SE SECUOYAS DE CANTABRIA
El bosque de secuoyas de Cabezón de la Sal ofrece un placentero paseo donde el silencio, la luz y el ambiente que crean estos gigantes, tiene algo de “mágico”.
La verticalidad de las secuoyas nos empequeñece y obliga a mirar hacia arriba, con asombrados ojos, buscando un cielo que parece que se nos escapa entre sus frondosas capas.
ES UN BOSQUE ÚNICO QUE BIEN MERECE UNA LARGA VISITA.

La hora de comer es una llamada poderosa, sobre todo cuando va a ser mi primera comida en Italia y ya voy imaginando los posibles sabores. Pero cómo no iba a pararme al encontrar este mural justo a la salida del parque. Al fijarme en la figura central la reconocí inmediatamente: la Sophia Loren de mi juventud. Esa sonrisa, esos ojos. Ahí estaba, en un muro de Sorrento, entre dos hombres que no identifiqué de inmediato. No pude resistirme al impulso de fotografiarla, aprovechando que el clima había espantado a los miles de turistas que normalmente se hacen selfies aquí. Luego descubrí que el mural es obra de TVBoy, el "Banksy italiano", y que los otros dos personajes son Lucio Dalla y Enrico Caruso. Tres leyendas que llevaron el nombre de Sorrento por el mundo. Pero en ese momento solo vi a Sophia Loren sonriéndome, y eso bastó para olvidar el hambre por dos minutos más.

Lunchtime is a powerful call, especially when it's to be my first meal in Italy and I'm already savouring the possible flavours. But how could I not stop upon finding this mural just outside the park. Focusing on the central figure, I recognised her immediately: the Sophia Loren of my youth. That smile, those eyes. There she was, on a wall in Sorrento, between two men I didn't identify straight away. I couldn't resist the impulse to photograph her, taking advantage of how the weather had frightened away the thousands of tourists who normally take selfies here. Later I discovered the mural is by TVBoy, the "Italian Banksy", and that the other two figures are Lucio Dalla and Enrico Caruso. Three legends who carried Sorrento's name around the world. But in that moment I only saw Sophia Loren smiling at me, and that was enough to forget my hunger for two more minutes.
