Meet my sweet little spaceboy, DK Crown!
While working on my interpretation of the Etsy Plush Team mascot, PT Stitchy, one of my knitting circle/yarn lounge buddies half-jokingly declared that she wanted me to make her a version of my newest monster; she wanted to bring it to her upcoming dental appointment and to use it as a toothfairy pillow. Apparently she and her husband are best friends with her dentist and her dentist's wife, and she thought bringing a toothfairy pillow to a temporary cap removal/application of a permanent dental piece would be quite funny. I loved the idea and decided to run with it! :)
As a result of this crochet challenge, I created DK Crown, the toothfairy pillow space alien from Mars. DK is a slick little alien who likes to steal human teeth. He doesn't snatch teeth, though--he's too debonair to snatch and steal! Instead, he lures teeth out with sweets, coffee and sodas.
DK Crown's mouth is actually a pocket that's big enough for a couple small sundries or a tooth.
Ooh! I'll be so sad when he leaves me: there's something about his arms that just makes me want to hug him all day long!!!
Yep, DK's teeth are pretty fat and short. . . kind like DK himself. :)
