Looks quite angry - maybe because I just took a shot of his wife, Proserpina?
Pluto (Greek Pluton, Πλούτων) is the god and ruler of the underworld. In older versions of the Greek mythology he was known as Hades (Ἅιδης), a name that later bacame more used for the underworld itself.

PLUTO FALLS
(Finger Lakes, NY)
Late in the day I climbed through the gorge, a glacial incision through the shale and sandstone of the western tier of New York. Some of autumn’s victims rested on the ridges and ledges, the only warmth against slate as gray and cold as survivors’ eyes. I had always timed this glen for rainy mornings, more leisurely as daylight gathers, but tonight I am mining the waning light. It’s kind of spooky; our brains don’t like the dark. There’s always a nagging feeling that something is unknown in it. I couldn’t help drawing parallels to the old myths: paying my coin to proceed through the initial tunnel below, on into the gathering gloom, and though it is no River Styx, about a mile up I got a long hiss as if from Pluto himself, as his Falls spilled from the pools above. I stopped here for awhile, slowing my heart and growing accustomed to the sound of water from above, finding comfort where sundown aligned with the trail, illuminating the way to the source.
I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year !
For this first 2020 picture I wanted to reminder my trip to the villa Borghese and this well known statue of Pluto and Proserpina, made by Bernini.
Do not hesitate to leave critics about what you don't (or do) like. Thanks, and have a beautiful day !
When nature won't... PLUTO will!!
Here's something fun that French Lick is known for (that probably most of you haven't heard of). Known as "America's Laxative", Pluto Water is a natural water product with a high content of mineral salts (which work as natural laxatives). It was very popular in the early 1900's and transported across the country in railroad cars. Pluto Water is no longer available for sale due to governmental regulations on one of the ingredients.

To celebrate the release of my first book I'm finally getting around to uploading some of the missing images from The Older Industrial Parks Near Newport, Victoria
Pluto has long been a mystery, a dot at our solar system’s margins. The best images, even with NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, were fuzzy and pixelated. In July 2015, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft flew past Pluto and captured the sharpest views of the dwarf planet to date. One of the most striking areas, informally named "Sputnik Planum," is a sweeping, frozen plain the size of Texas and ringed by mountains of ice. Its smooth deposits are unmarred by impact craters, a stark contrast to the rest of Pluto’s battered surface. As a result, scientists believe the region formed recently, within the last few hundred million years. This contradicts past depictions of Pluto as an unchanging world. By analyzing images taken during the flyby, scientists hope to unravel more of the dwarf planet’s history. Watch the video for an up-close look at Pluto.

I planted this different Basil in my herb garden and I hope it survives. It's different from any other Basil I've ever had. It is so compact and the leaves are more delicate than other Basil I've grown. Because of the heat we've had it started blooming so I pulled the flowers off, I don't want it to go to seed.
