Wow what a surprising night! We went to dinner with our friends from Macphun (who we partnered with to make the new Aurora HDR 2017 at ift.tt/21xdUta ) and Plotagraph Pro Software at ( ift.tt/2aOr1Sg ). After that, we all wandered over to the amazing Cologne cathedral. When we walked in, we were totally shocked to see a mostly darkened room along with a huge screen playing an animated slideshow of Hubble Telescope images. There were ethereal, surreal sounds of space playing all through the stone walls. All around the outside were priests that you could talk to about the infinity of space and the universe... it was completely eclectic and amazing! I didn't have my tripod, so I borrowed one from a random Chinese tourist. Also, I didn't have my wide-angle - just my 35 prime! So I made a panorama. When I took the tripod back, it turns out that the gentleman subscribes to my newsletter of all things — crazy universe! And yes, I processed this with Aurora HDR 2017! I'm now on my way to Munich for Bits & Pretzels then to Berlin for the private art show (to get a limited spot, contact Ruby@stuckincustoms.com ) via Trey Ratcliff on FB at ift.tt/1v05hWZ Snapchat: treyratcliff ift.tt/1qx3iMJ Instagram: treyratcliff ift.tt/1c7s6Uy

This is a new Plotagraph I just finished after a midnight walk in the docks of Puerto Rico. Also, there is Plotagraph Pro news! If you don't know what a Plotagraph is, the easiest way to explain it is you can take a SINGLE photo and then animate it. Any jpeg you can upload and animate. It's easy and fun.

So the NEW news is now there is a new level of subscription at 29 a month. Pretty good! It used to be 300 a year or something, which made it hard for people to try.

Newsletter #177 is now out in the wild at www.stuckincustoms.com/newsletter/sic_newsletter_177.html - enjoy! There's some cool stuff about Luminar in there too.

Here's another Plotagraph from Patagonia - check out the new pricing over at www.stuckincustoms.com/links/plotagraph

Here is another Plotagraph made from a single photo ! :) Find out more at www.Plotagraphpro.com - they have some new pricing options there such as month-to-month - give it a whirl!

A shooting star or a satellite? I'm not sure what it was... saw this when driving through the Valley of Fire around midnight.

Here's another Plotagraph (www.stuckincustoms.com/links/plotagraph) I just made from the little Church of the Good Shepherd in Tekapo, New Zealand

I'm experimenting with Plotagraph Pro for creating animations from single images.

Remember, this was made out of a single JPG – how cool! I made this animation be a bit faster than most to add to the drama. But, of course, you can choose whatever speed you like. Actually, this one has two different speeds for the sky and the water (the water is barely moving).

Here's one of the watch towers at the amazing Forbidden City right in the heart of Beijing. This is another "Plotagraph Pro" made from a single still photograph.

Yuri has discovered the perfect location for colonization. This particular area of Gliese 3293b is not as susceptible to the mass land flow or the erratic magnetism. This means instrumentation is not as affected by the shifting polarity. He is sending all his real-time data to be analyzed.

Here’s an animated image made from a single JPG from one of my favorite spots from our European Tour. At high tide, this becomes this amazing island-castle-monastery. This was made with Plotagraph Pro, by the way, whose prices have just become more affordable with different plans. The next image I post in a few hours will be a top-down view from when I flew the Phantom right over the tippy top, looking straight down.

Thanks again everyone for helping to get Plotagraph into the top 10 in the US app store! Wow, that is just amazing! It's also #2 in China, Malaysia, and Thailand, and it's #1 in Indonesia. Those Indonesians love animating still images... classic Indonesia!

Early morning finds Balloonists and crews making ready for the day's events at The Great Texas Balloon Race in Longview Texas. Thought I would give the iOS version of Plotagraph a try, not bad for a first attempt.

I was out at Lake Hayes today collecting some footage for a fun project... I was lucky that it was one of those days where the water was as calm as could be... And then I decided to animate the finished result with Plotagraph Pro.

Here's a painting I made a few years ago and then just animated with Plotagraph on the iPad. Thanks again for keeping Plotagraph in the top 40 apps in the app store! (Full disclosure, I am a part owner but maybe you know that by now!) - If you want to play with it yourself, here's a link:

One day while we were staying at one of my art collector's homes in Beverly Hills, we had the team from Plotagraph over, Troy and Sascha. We were having a little catch-up session on Plotagraph, and my friend Tom Anderson was there too (you know, MySpace Tom!). Anyway, we were both ready to take some photos, and since Sascha is a model, she offered to slink around the pool a bit. Troy was really funny – he's a Photographer as well – but he knows how to talk to models… so he was yelling out this and that and cracking me and Tom up… I'll get a recording next time!

This is a photo taken with my Phantom 4 pro. you can see me over there on top of the cliff with Tina and the news reporter. That was a fun shoot… we talked a lot about Plotagraph Pro. What a fun time! I ended up getting about 10 photos I really liked with the quad… there is an arch and tunnel I could have flown through, but I wasn't quite brave enough!

Yet another animated Plotagraph sunset from Iceland.

A Plotagraph of a New Bedford, Massachusetts sunrise.

New Bedford is a city in Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 95,072, making it the sixth-largest city in Massachusetts. New Bedford is nicknamed "The Whaling City" because during the 19th century, the city was one of the most important, if not the most important, whaling ports in the world, along with Nantucket, Massachusetts and New London, Connecticut. The city, along with Fall River and Taunton, make up the three largest cities in the South Coast region of Massachusetts. The Greater Providence-Fall River-New Bedford area is home to the largest Portuguese-American community in the United States.

Trying the new Plotagraph that makes still images come to life.

"The dwellings that house the Beavertail Lighthouse Museum were built in 1856 (Keeper House and Tower) and (Assistant Keeper House) built in 1898 to help maintain both the beacon and foghorn systems. The first floors of both buildings are now used to exhibit artifacts and story boards. Included is a small theater, interactive video displays and a gift shop. Another building, the former Oil Storage building in the rear of the keeper buildings also houses museum story boards.

The last of the larger fog signaling buildings, using steam whistles was destroyed in the 1938 hurricane. The subsequent removal of building and equipment debris revealed the remains of the 1749 stone foundation of the first light tower sited at Beavertail. It was the 3rd lighthouse built in America. This foundation was recently restored. The destroyed foghorn building was replaced by the current, smaller fog-signal house along with its two fog horn system generators and compressors, that presently houses the RI Department of Environmental Management’s(RIDEM) aquarium. Adjacent to the 1749 foundation, remains another smaller stone foundation of Beavertail's Fog Bell. Beavertail Light station was the first in America to use a bell to warn mariners. The bell was actuated by a wind up mechanism.

In 1972 both the light in the tower and the fog signal were automated by the U.S. Coast Guard and Keepers were no longer required. The buildings were abandoned and remained vacant until the RIDEM, Town of Jamestown and later the BLMA recognized the need to preserve the historic buildings and provide an educational venue for the public .

Restoration of both keepers’ houses began in 1983, and the museum opened in 1989 as a part of the RI State Parks Association. The non-profit Beavertail Lighthouse Museum Association (BLMA) was organized in 1993 by a dedicated group of docents, some of whom still serve the all-volunteer association today in all its endeavors to preserve the site and the building for future generations.

The Light Station and buildings inside the perimeter wooden fence belong to the U.S. Coast Guard. Both the light and fog signal are active navigation aids and maintained by them. RIDEM under licence with USCG in turn delegates BLMA to maintain the grounds, buildings and museum under a Memorandum Of Understanding."

A plotagraph made from a single image of the sunrise at Palmer's Island Light in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

"Palmer Island Light Station is located on the northern point of Palmer's Island in New Bedford Harbor. The island received its name from William Palmer, one of the first settlers of Dartmouth. New Bedford, Massachusetts, was the whaling capital of the Nation reaching its peak in the 1850s with a fleet of 239 ships. The level of ship traffic in New Bedford Harbor necessitated the construction of an aid to navigation. Designed by architect Charles M. Pierce, Palmer Island Light was illuminated on August 30, 1849. The original, 24-foot tall, conical stone tower exists today, but associated buildings including a keeper's dwelling and an enclosed walkway (1849), a fog signal building (1900) and an oil house (1905) were destroyed by the Hurricane of 1938.

To prevent future hurricane damage, workers constructed a hurricane barrier wall in 1963. The barrier wall stretched across New Bedford Harbor just south of the Palmer Island Light eliminating the light tower's usefulness. As a result, Palmer Island was deactivated in 1962. A fire destroyed the tower interior, and vandals caused further damage. In 1978, the City of New Bedford obtained ownership of Palmer Island Light and initiated a preservation effort to restore the tower interior. Restoration work resumed in 1989, but was followed by more vandalism. After rebuilding the badly damaged lantern room in 1999, the City of New Bedford once again illuminated the Palmer Island Light Station as a private aid to navigation.

Palmer Island Light Station is located on rocky Palmer's Island in the Acushnet River at the entrance to New Bedford Harbor. It is owned and maintained by the City of New Bedford as an active private aid to navigation. The lighthouse is not open to the public except by special arrangement. Palmer Island Light is visible by boat. For more information about visiting the Palmer Island Light Station call the City of New Bedford's Tourism & Marketing Waterfront Visitor Center at 508-979-1745 or visit the city's website."

Are you noticing a theme of Iceland photos that have been animated? I went on an Iceland photo-editing spree, and then I decided to animate them all using Plotagraph! And yes, some more on the way!

Yuri Volkovnikov, an Interstellar Exoplanet Ekistics (ISEE) Astronaut visits the surface of Gliese 3293 b located approximately 59 light years from our solar system... it's crystalline structured surface moves at random and can be quite dangerous. Studying the surface has led to the discovery of a loose particle based plate tectonics that involves high levels of magnetism. The movement appears to be in patches intermittent with large solid swaths that "float" smoothly over and polish the stones below.
