Burrowing Owl adults weigh only 6 oz, so I imagine these guys weighed in at about 4.5 oz. They are tiny little things. I've seen baby birds play, but these young Burrowing Owlets played just like 6-week old puppies or kittens. It was cuter than any bird-play I have ever seen before.
In this photo, one had found a feather to play with. The second owlet came in for a sneak attack and it turned into a game of tug of war. It was really fun to photograph so of course, I have tons of photos. The hard part was choosing just one photo to show the action.

It's unusual to see a Roseate Spoonbill and a White Ibis traveling together, but this ibis seemed to find new friends. There were four spoonbills and the ibis that entered the canal together, foraged for awhile, then all left together.

I watched three young boys who were playing with marbles at an open yard in a residential compound with an intention to come up with some nice action shots.
I've told the boys to just play as if I wasn't around. They did. However, after some attempts at composing some frames, I couldn't get the shots that I wanted.
I was about to give up when two of the children jokingly posed before me and at that instance, I saw the light and the light was good.

What more could you want? Two classic machines to show off with. Can’t wait for the next homecoming parade.
It is so easy to just walk past antiques and dismiss their importance in the lives of others. A long departed family member had filled her glass cabinet with dolls. The collection of staring eyes was somewhat disconcerting. Yet once I began a photographic study of this doll, I found myself lost in his far away gaze. It seemed to me that he was wondering where all those children had gone that used to hold him so close.
This tree with its rope swing will be well known to anyone visiting the end of the Glen Etive road from the A82.
