My old Seat Arosa. At traffic light grand prix it's worse than useless -- I was once beaten by a ham-fisted housewife in a Toyota Aygo -- but it's quite nippy for its size once it's up and running. And on the flip side it's not bad on the juice; I managed a best of almost 75 mpg recently. I did some back-of-an-envelope calculations the other day, and over the 20k miles and 21 months I've had the car, I've spent £1600 on fuel. My previous car, an old Ford Escort, would have cost me about £3000 to cover the same distance. It's also been hilariously, unbelievably easy to park.
I posted this up because I came this close to getting rid of it recently. But now... I'm having second thoughts. Whatta shocker.
PS His name is Sanchez. At first I called him "Pedro", but then I found out that loads of people call their Arosa that, so I had to change it. Also, I'm bad for not washing him enough, so he's a bit of a dirty Sanchez. Geddit?
EDIT on 21st November 2010: Hasta la vista, Arosa. Two years, 29k miles, and an average of 60.2 mpg.
I'm not for sure cause my bottle of OMG hasn't got here yet but I think I may have made a dupe of it.
