Elephant and Castle station has been going under a re-fit for 6 months now. The tube workers prepare for another night of retiling and painting.
Scaffolding is put together in peices bg enough to fit into the passenger lifts, taken down onto the flatforms and then those peices make up bigger peices. It's amazing to watch.
Painting the white lines for the drives know where to walk in the dark. Not reopening to the public.
But on Saturday the 1st July a rail tour is booked to use it!

This is down on the platform at Finnoo station. One the left we've got curved punched metal sheets with varying colour lighting. On the right there's a series of murals depicting scenes from nature, and it was really pretty.
