With thousands of these metal supports and miles of wood pieces to be removed by hands, this machine suspends a platform over the side of a bridge so workers can reach the materials. It has a motor, operated by men on the bridge, to drive the machine a few feet at a time and move the platform along the bridge's edge.

Walkway to the viewing platform, Terminal 2, Munich Airport. This is a crop out oft the picture taken with the Tamron 15 - 30 mm, set to 30 mm.
Last week I was on a train travelling through thick fog from Seattle to Vancouver. When the train slowed for a bridge or signal I would take shots from the window between the carriages. It was a fortuitous and unexpected journey through a continuous still and dense mist.
Best I could do with something arriving at platform 10 at York. 43304 was working the 1S51 1227 Plymouth - Edinburgh 12/11/22.
