Homeless Jesus, also known as Jesus the Homeless (French: Jésus le sans-abri), is a bronze sculpture by Timothy Schmalz depicting Jesus as a homeless person, sleeping on a park bench. The original sculpture was installed in 2013 at Regis College, a theological college federated with the University of Toronto. Other copies of the statue were installed in several other locations beginning in 2014. As of 2017, over 50 copies were created and placed around the world.

The statue depicts Jesus as a homeless person, sleeping on a park bench. His face and hands are obscured, hidden under a blanket, but Crucifixion wounds on his feet reveal his identity. The statue has been described as a "visual translation" of the Gospel of Matthew passage in which Jesus tells his disciples, "as you did it to one of the least of my brothers, you did it to me". The bronze sculpture was intended to be provocative, with its sculptor, Timothy Schmalz commenting, "That's essentially what the sculpture is there to do. It's meant to challenge people."

The dimensions of the statue is 91 by 61 by 61 centimetres (36 by 24 by 24 in), providing enough room for someone to sit on the bench.

Psalm 1:3

New International Version

3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither—

whatever they do prospers.

The biggest and most complicated 1/100th build yet - the mighty Tupolev Tu-114. This was the World's fastest and largest turboprop airliner and took to the skies in 1958. It was faster than the first jet airliners and stunned the Americans when Khrushchev used it to visit New York for the first time in 1959.

The kit, made in the GDR by VEB Plasticart in 1960, as bought was 7cm too short against the drawing, which meant inserting 3.5cm behind the wing and 2.5cm ahead of it. This was undoubtedly the most difficult airliner kit build I have ever undertaken and has taken the best part of three months on and off to reach this stage. By I'm rather pleased with it. It is such a beast though, that finding somewhere to display it might be a problem!

This gentleman here is the plastic artist Carlos Franco, born in Ecuador, where he studied classical painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Guayaquil under the direction of great Ecuadorian artists. He says he does not have a particular style, maybe because he's a great academy artist. He says that he admires and respects many artists who had the courage to change the world of art, offering people new visual solutions, but I believe that he himself has changed a lot of art, proving that the beautiful always has to remain beautiful...
