I chose The Acorn Planter because the first thing I thought of was a squirrel.

Then I read more about it.

Members of our local foto club attended the Michigan Orchid show today in Madison Heights, Michigan. Our club had a photo challenge, one of the categories was Black and White Flowers.

For 121 Pictures in 2021 #34 "Fence", this is my back fence, with some built-in planter boxes. At the moment they hold various herbs - Italian and Greek oregano, thyme, several kinds of mint, dill, and chives. Herbs (and most other plants) are in short supply here because of all the losses in the February Big Freeze, so this may be it for the year, although I do have some basil and rosemary that are too big to grow in the boxes.

It's always fun to be invited into a neighbor's back yard and wander through the lush greenery. The plantings were lovely, but my attention was drawn to this sculpture on a large planter.

I am sure I have posted a pic of this one sometime in the past, but it is always an eye catching planter. Matsqui Prairie, Abbotsford, B.C.
