Here's one that I've had around since our road trip to Florida last April. Built in the 1840s, this antebellum mansion, located in Ellenton, Florida, near Bradenton, was the home of Major Robert Gamble, who oversaw an extensive sugar plantation. At its peak, the plantation included 3,500 acres, and Gamble likely held more than 200 slaves to work the property and process the sugarcane, according to Wikipedia. The structure is said to be the only surviving plantation house in South Florida.

at the Boh Sungai Palas tea estate on Cameron Highlands. I've seen people's pics of a lovely lone tree amongst the tea bushes but I didn't come across it. However, I quite liked this little clump of trees (including 2 tree ferns) I saw in one of the tea plantations.
. Munnar is a town and hill station located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala, India.Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above mean sea level, in the Western Ghats mountain range. Most of the native flora and fauna of Munnar have disappeared due to severe habitat fragmentation resultant from the creation of the plantations. However, some species continue to survive and thrive in several protected areas nearby, including the new Kurinjimala Sanctuary to the east, the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Manjampatti Valley and the Amaravati reserve forest of Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary to the north east, the Eravikulam National Park and Anamudi Shola National Park to the north, the Pampadum Shola National Park to the south and the proposed Palani Hills National Park to the east.
Endemic species
These protected areas are especially known for several threatened and endemic species including Nilgiri Thar, the grizzled giant squirrel, the Nilgiri wood-pigeon, elephant, the gaur, the Nilgiri langur, the sambar, and the neelakurinji (that blossoms only once in twelve years). Eppington Plantation was built in 1768 by Francis Eppes VI, brother-in-law to Thomas Jefferson. Eppes and Jefferson also were close friends and, after Jefferson’s wife Martha died in 1782, the newly widowed Jefferson entrusted his two daughters, Maria and Lucy, to the Eppes family while he served as minister to France. Sadly, Lucy died of whooping cough shortly thereafter and was buried on the property. Maria grew to adulthood, married the eldest Eppes son and remained on the property until her death in 1804.
Conifer plantations can be sterile boring places. But given the right light, season and sensitive planting they can shine....
Who'd have thought it? Tea growing on an island in the middle of the Atlantic. At Gorreana on Sao Miguel, Chinese experts helped establish a tea plantation in 1874, when the orange industry failed and exports slumped.
Just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. The azaleas were in early bloom, but the trees did not have most of their leaves yet.

The country houses, mansions of Curaçao (called: Landhuis), built in the 17th till 19th centuries, are usually former plantation houses. There used to be about 100 such small plantations on Curaçao. Their names are still in use as place name.
Plantation House Jan Kok is one of the oldest and most beautiful of the 'landhuizen' (plantation houses) in Curaçao. It is named after its first owner, the infamously cruel slave master Jan Kock.
This present plantation house was built in 1840 to replace the one built in the beginning of the 18th century.
It was a saliña, a salt plantation, where salt was harvested in the nearby salt pans.
Plantations in West Curaçao are on Unesco's tentative list of world heritage.

Plimoth Plantation, founded in 1947, is a living history museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA that exhibits the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony established in the 17th century by English colonists, some of whom later became known as Pilgrims. I loved this scene, so iconic of the south, with the overhanging oak trees and moss and had to stop and photograph it one morning. I was expecting to see Scarlet O'Hara walking down the path any minute :-)

Magnolia Plantation and Gardens (464 acres, 188 hectares) is a historic house with gardens located on the Ashley River, Charleston County, South Carolina. It is one of the oldest plantations in the South, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Magnolia was originally a rice plantation, with extensive earthworks of dams and dikes built in fields along the river for irrigating land for rice cultivation. African slaves from rice-growing regions created the works. As time went on, these slaves developed a creolized Gullah language and vibrant culture, strongly influenced by their West African cultures. They have retained many combined cultural elements from West Africa to this day in what is known as the Gullah Heritage Corridor of the Lowcountry and Sea Islands of the Carolinas and Georgia.
