Fortunately, while making a pit stop in the beach house and contemplating the next move, there are options.

As usual, I tried a few different subjects for the Macro Mondays group theme, Anachronism, and this was my Plan B. It's a brass box for holding shirt studs, which I don't think many people use these days, and dates from around the 1920s. I found this one at the Lewes Antiques Flea Market recently.

NSM Plan-U 115 as Heimwee Express vertrek gereed naar Utrecht Maliebaan.

Amersfoort 23 mei 2015.

Sunday I had hoped to spend a leisurely day chasing Pan Am Railways' water train. My plan fell apart by late morning when I heard them getting ready to tie the train down east of Rigby. I was heading for home when I heard DJPO (Danville Junction to Portland) call a stop signal at Royal Junction in Yarmouth. As a part of ongoing infrastructure improvements associated with the Amtrak Downeaster service contractors are in the process of grading roughly 4 miles of second track to be reinstalled from Royal west into Falmouth. The construction has helped open up some shots that haven't been possible for many years. With a pair of buffer cars and a load of anhydrous ammonia from the Saint Lawrence & Atlantic interchange the local is approaching Cumberland Center. Many years ago this location was known as Cumberland Junction, the original junction of the Maine Central Railroad "Back Road" and the "Lower Road". A 6 mile plus realignment of the Back Road resulted in Royal Junction, where the lines currently connect. This was one of a couple realignments in the immediate area, the other one being in New Gloucester.

I bought a porcelain figurine on eBay from France. To my pleasant surprise, the parcel arrived quite quickly and very well-packed. The figurine survived the trans-Atlantic journey all intact.

It's not the first time that I've received a parcel from France or Italy fully covered in stamps. I think I'd keep the box just for the stamps. Too bad that someone decided to cancel the stamps with a marker instead of proper postal cancellations.

Having received advertising for "Plan Bee" during the first week of the new year, Go-Coach 9506 SN59 AVT is seen here on the Kent Fastway within The Bridge complex on the northern outskirts of Dartford whilst working Fastrack route AZ. Sunday 20th March 2022.

9506 arrived at Swanley from Abellio (Beddington) on Thursday 19th August 2021 the only one of the "Amazon" batch not to come via refurbishment and repaint at RGI. It was initially used in red as cover on school work (based at Swanley and usually used on the S12) until early November when it was prepped for repaint. It made its way to Mardens on Thursday 16th December returning on Christmas Eve in all over yellow ready to be the advert bus for "Plan Bee".

I have a lot of ideas bouncing around in my head all at once. In fact, I’m actually diagnosed with ADHD, and this constant scatterbrainedness can make it difficult for me to complete long-term projects and assignments in an organized manner. Therefore, I’d like to ask you guys’ input on what kind of figures you’d like to see next! The school year is winding down, and once I’m done with finals, it’ll be 50 hr work weeks with 3-4 hours of MCAT study in the evenings. So I’ll need to be very careful with my time if I want to continue building over the summer.

Here are some of my ‘bouncing’ ideas, and if you have any of your own that you don’t see on this list, let me know in the comments!

(In no particular order):

1. Redoing my Forever Evil set with more accurate characters (and added ones)

2. Classic JSA

3. Continuing to keep up with current Rebirth storylines for new characters and "Page to Pictures"

4. X-Men (as teased, heh heh)

5. Super-Family

6. Bat-Family, and/or generally a greater focus on Batman

7. Priest’s current Deathstroke run

8. "Generations” (spoiler, it’s all the incarnations of the Teen Titans/Titans, this one would take a while)

9. Justice League International

10. Suicide Squad (this one’s for you, Adam)

11. Summer landscape/cityscape photography

12. Nudes

Fig formulas:

Updated Indigo-1: Star Sapphire head/torso/arms/hips, White Tiger plume, Balloon Escape Joker coattails, TLGM Velma Staplebot CMF legs

Mystique: Friends Ariel hair, GotG Vol. 1 Nebula head, reversed Pepper Potts torso, LBM Catman CMF utility belt, Lightning Lad legs

Monarch Containment Suit (retired): changed the hips and added the yellow utility belt for accuracy

We really dodged a bullet with our recent winter storm. They had predicted an ice storm with up to a half an inch of ice. But we ended up getting mostly sleet and a couple of inches of snow. The last time we had ice at a half inch, our power was out for almost four days....and we spent the first three in our bitterly cold house, desperately wishing we had a backup option. Every space heater in the area had been snapped up by the time we could get to the store, but on day four we managed to find this kerosene heater. And wouldn't you know, about four hours after we set it up and finally got warm....the power came back on.

At any rate, we didn't take any chances this time, and had our heater set up and ready for action before the event. I'm pleased to say we didn't need it, but as there is another storm on the horizon for the end of the week....this thing is staying right where it is for now. 😊

Torres del Paine is a national park in the Extreme South region of Patagonian Chile. It is located in the southern tiers of the Andes and features mountains, lakes and glaciers.

The Torres del Paine (Spanish for "Towers of Paine" and "Paine" is the old indigenos name for the colour blue), three immense rock towers give the park its name.

Other attractions include the Cuernos del Paine, Grey Glacier, Lago Grey, Lago Pehoe, Lago Nordenskjöld and Lago Sarmiento. Jutting out some 2800m above the Patagonian steppe, the Torres del Paine are spectacular granite pillars that dominate the landscape of what may be South America's finest national park. These breathtaking spires are flanked by the summit of Paine Grande (3050m) and the sharp tusks of black sedimentary peaks known as Los Cuernos (The Horns; 2200m to 2600m). Yes, these are the famous Patagonian mountains that you see on posters and book covers all over the world.

But the park is not just mountains. Trails meander through emerald forests, alongside and over roaring rivers, past radiant blue glaciers, azure lakes and up to jaw-dropping lookouts. You can hike into the vast openness of the steppe, heading to less-visited lakes and glaciers, all the while keeping an eye on the looming peaks. That is when the weather is clear. Unpredictable at best, weather systems can sheath the peaks in veils of clouds that hold for hours, if not days. Even then, the park has its allure - but it is always wise to plan a few extra days to make sure that your trip isn't torpedoed by a spot of bad weather. The best-known and most spectacular summits are the three Towers of Paine. They are gigantic granite monoliths shaped by the forces of glacial ice.

The South Tower of Paine (about 2,500 m) is now thought to be the highest of the three, although this has not been definitely established. It was first climbed by Armando Aste.

The Central Tower of Paine (about 2,460 m) was first climbed in 1963 by Chris Bonington and Don Whillans, and the North Tower of Paine (about 2,260 m) was first climbed by Guido Monzino.

The Mission Nombre de Dios Museum opened on September 4, 2010 in conjunction with the 445th anniversary celebration of the City of St. Augustine, Flroida and the relocation of the casket of Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, the founder of the city. The Mission Museum is an entity of the Catholic Diocese of St. Augustine and is administered by the Mission Nombre de Dios and Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche.

The Mission Museum building was made possible through a donation from the Robert Ellert and JoAnn Crisp-Ellert estate. Planning and development of the museum was under the direction of the 1565 Committee. The 1565 Committee was originally formed to assist the diocese in preserving the records of the archives.

Exhibits Include:

The original casket of Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, founder of the city of St. Augustine, dating to 1574. Menéndez, whose remains were in this casket until 1924, is buried in his hometown of Avilés, Spain.

Artifacts uncovered on the mission grounds during archaeological excavations led by Kathy Deagan, Ph.D. University of Florida

A replica of the oldest written European documents in the U.S.

Coquina stones from 1875 foundation of a shrine chapel built by Augustin Verot, the first bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine

A diorama (hand carved description) of the first parish Mass in the U.S. celebrated by Fr. Francisco López de Mendoza Grajales on September 8, 1565.

Chalices and vestments from archives of the Diocese of St. Augustine.

A reproduction of the 1155 document from Avilés, Spain.

A 15 minute documentary featuring the reenactment of the 1565 founding of St. Augustine, the transfer of the casket in 1924 and 2010, and dedication of the museum on September 4, 2010.

A selection of painting by JoAnn Crisp-Ellert, renowned artist.

The Plans & Diagrams series was started in March 2006. The ideas and images continue to toy with me; I expect the series will grow. Images are of insects, machines, plans, diagrams, graphs, mathematical notations, and buttons.

Each of my series has its own set of rules. Some of my rules for the Plans & Diagrams series: use a photo of a linen bed sheet as the foundation of the image, restrict the color scheme to beiges, yellows, grays, & blacks, include an insect, include buttons or other circular objects. I don’t always adhere to every rule in every image in the series, but I find the restrictions help me explore the imagery.

My plan was simple today, drive up to Lewiston Junction for an 1845 arrival to see if St. Lawrence & Atlantic train 393 had anything interesting and hope they depart by 2000. About 1800 PORU got on the radio ready to depart after Amtrak so I figured, hey, why not casually chase PORU up the line and the split to LJ, as long as Im there by 1930 I should be good, as any departure before then in downright unheard of.

After catching PORU here at Deering Junction, and again at Mill Road in North Yarmouth, I cruised up towards Penny where I heard 393 calling RailTerm letting them know they left LJ at 1910!! Being 15 miles behind them on back roads, I knew I was screwed and the plan... fell apart. At least I was able to grab PORU in good light and have a nice little jaunt around the neighborhood...
