photograph of the wonderful Eise Eisinga planetarium in Franeker in Friesland. Finished in 1781 by a local wool carder and amateur astronomer Eise Jeltas Eisinga in his living room, this is the oldest functioning planetraium in the world.

This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and a KOWA 1:3.5/55mm lens with a Kowa L1A ø67 filter using CineStill 50D film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Планетарий находится в здании Николо-Кремлёвской («желтой») церкви на территории исторического кремля Владимира между Рождественским монастырем и зданием исторического музея. Рядом установлен памятник Александру Невскому.
Собственно Николо-Кремлёвская церковь — памятник архитектуры середины XVIII века. Типичный образец бесстолпного летнего посадского храма. Памятник федерального значения.

Exotic tachyon waves emitting yesterday from Zeiss Major Planetarium in Berlin.
A tachyon is a subatomic particle that naturally exists at faster-than-light velocities, and can often be associated with time travel or produced as a byproduct of a temporal distortion.

The Bangalore Planetarium is administered by the Bangalore Association for Science Education (BASE), which has dedicated itself to popularizing scientific subjects among the public, especially children."

L’histoire de la Féerie des Lanternes est aussi ancienne que la civilisation chinoise elle-même. Née durant la florissante dynastie Tang (618 – 907), cette tradition trouve ses origines dans la province du Sichuan, un épicentre de la culture chinoise. La ville de Zigong, en particulier, joue un rôle primordial dans cette saga lumineuse. Connu pour ses artisans doués – métalliers, peintres et couturiers – Zigong surnommée "Ville des lanternes" est le berceau des magnifiques tableaux qui illuminent le festival.

One more photo from my visit to San Jose, California. This particular structure is next to the city hall and is very eye catching. It looks like a planetarium or an enclosure for a telescope. I looked it up, and it is called the Rotunda and is available for parties and other events. No telescopes are present, just lots of round glass walls and natural light.
