I have good dishes I never use. I take them out here or there for photography and then put them away in their zippered up protective bags and place them back in my cupboard. I feel bad that I never use them but after today I think I might change that. The greatest joy is the present moment so celebrate and use the good dishes!

39/52: The 52 week challenge - Letters – use your imagination, there are 26 in our alphabet, or….they used to be something that people wrote to each other.
My place setting at our goddaughter's wedding. I thought this may be okay for the theme as there are plenty of letters on the menu card and my name card.
These are my Favourite green plates.
Yes, we live large in this household.

Taken at Hogarth's Stone Manor hotel near Kidderminster, England. My sister-in-law's wedding had been held in the hotel the previous afternoon; I was honoured to be asked to give her away. It was a very emotional day, I felt Martin was there in spirit, he'd have been so proud. The weather was glorious & we enjoyed an evening of post wedding celebrations in the beautiful gardens HWW!
A few of us stayed 2 nights in the hotel & we breakfasted together on the second morning, before going our separate ways. As my daughter & I walked back our room to pack, this elegant bench seat & lead lined window caught my eye HWW!
Photo 52/100 : My 100x photos this year will all feature benches or seats.

The interior of the Meyer May House, a 1908 Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece, capitalizes on the sunlight streaming through leaded-glass windows and skylights to the golden oak trim and furnishings. It's a rich and elegant design.
Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959), developed a style of architecture that he explained as an "organic design in harmony with humanity and the environment."
Though he is most famous for Fallingwater, considered his masterpiece Prairie Style house in Pennsylvania (see picture in first comment below), and The Guggenheim Museum in Manhattan, NYC, my wife and I like the Meyer May House best. Its rich tones and airy light are both beautiful and comforting. Our favorite house (perhaps until we visit the next one, hahaha).
One of the competitions at the Oregon State Fair is for table settings. This took me back in time! 125 Pictures in 2025 #69 Ostentatious
Just playing around with glow settings, learning to add a little more realism to night-time shoots.
The placesettings and glassware are from keke (in the mainstore) the candlesticks are from Fancy Decor's mainstore. The centerpiece is from MadPea's old Bonsai gacha (which is still out at their store), and the table and chairs are from SAYO's old 'stationed in soho' gacha (which was out at the SAYO mainstore the last time I visited).
I also forgot to mention the Calm. Victorian Candelabrum on the wall that I picked up at the Cosmopolitan event this fortnight.

I meet Maria and her friend Yanni in Athens,Plaka area. I was passing by and they struck me as being artsy, different and interesting. I asked them if i could photograph them but that they continue their conversation.
They are both artists , she paints, Yanni paints and draws. They both like to work with clay and canvas. They live in Athens and were having drinks on a very hot evening.
I couldn't quite eke the color out of this that I wanted to... Gimp helped a bit. Just wanted to send up some Bokeh on a Wednesday!

Jimmy to the photo op rescue again.
I needed a picture of pretty fabrics for Happy Caturday so decided to use a placemat. Because it was after work and late in the day, my dining room was too dark for a photo - hence the al fresco dining. The problem was the new dog next door. As soon as he detected activity in our backyard he started barking in an incessant, loud, shrill "voice". I tried carrying Ella outside but she wouldn't let me take her 2 steps before freaking out making it impossible to hold her. Mack was around so I grabbed him and put him in the patio chair and almost pushed his nose in the wet cat food so he would notice the benefit of this photo op. No way - Mack was back in the house in a flash. So, of course, Jimmy came walking up to me, barking dog and all, jumped onto the chair with no prompting from me and started eating.
On a completely different note, from this picture I can see that Jimmy's ears are dirty and need to be cleaned. When his allergies flare up he produces more wax. Poor boy.
