“Great show! Well put together and well worth watching! 10/10”

“Settled down on a wet Friday night with a few beers in Belfast to watch the road movie and the sun just rolled in! If you're a Hot Rod, Kustom and/or Tiki fan and especially if you live somewhere in the world that is gray and a long way from California this will take you to another world. Whenever it’s pissing down here I will stick on the movie and live the dream.”

“What an incredibly well shot film! I enjoyed the story and the visuals. I'd love to see more projects with the The Wild Bunch!”

"This is the kind of film you want to watch three times in a row to catch all the cool bits they throw in. So tripple up your popcorn and have fun!"

“Wow, holy crap was this a lot of fun to watch. What a great representation of Southern California!”

“A super cool and entertaining movie with the most beautiful shooting. Guaranteed Behlau color scheme not to mention the beautiful mellow velvety voice of Ms Jessica. If you enjoy Tiki, kustom kulture and hot rods, this is your movie!”

"Cool guys! Beautiful girls! Great soundtrack! Weird cars! ...and drinks drinks drinks!!! Don't forget to have a drink ready while watching this movie! Damn short 78 minutes! GRRREAT!!!"

“Dirk has done it again after the huge success of his first movie, Flake & Flames. This time he captures the inner circle of the Polynesian Pop, traditional hot rodding, & traditional pinup subcultures. It's a must see for fans of any of these (and who isn't?)”

THE METEORS started thirty years ago as a reaction against the soft rockabilly that was popular at that time, and they have now evolved to become the acknowledged "Kings of Psychobilly".

Their audience has continually expanded, and includes not just psychobillies, but everybody from rockabillies and punks, to bikers, and most alternatives. They are the original creators of Psychobilly Music, and although they have spawned hundreds of imitations, THE METEORS are proud to be the only pure Psychobilly band ever. Their songs are inspired by their personal experiences and interests; Horror, Perversion, and Death in general. They list their hobbies as motorbikes, rock’n’roll, and burying the living; amongst their heroes are Michael Myers, Charles Manson and Mark Chapman the man who shot John Lennon.

They have now made no less than 40 official albums, and countless singles, not to mention dozens of compilations and re-issues. Many were made in their own recording studio, "In Heaven" a fully working pro studio used by 100’s of bands including some very famous household names and lead-man PAUL FENECH has also released six successful solo albums. (They have also featured in many films and numerous TV shows) Worldwide sales have increased steadily over the years, and they have toured almost continuously to support these releases.

Their live show is wild and addictive, (they have done it over thousands of times in fact this year passing their four thousand five hundredth) and has been seen in just about every country in the world, including Japan, several tours of America, and every major city in Europe and Scandinavia even spending a sell out week in Israel, Everybody is welcome at THE METEORS show, and the band make a point that THE METEORS Live is a political or religious free zone. People should come to enjoy the music, and to wreck if they are brave enough! It's wild and sweaty, but nobody gets seriously hurt.

They are supported by a flourishing fan base, with thousands of supporters worldwide, who are kept in touch by the website www.kingsofpsychobilly.net which is updated daily with tours, band news and new merchandise, and there are several internet web sites devoted to them. And they receive daily e-mail from fans from the 4 corners of the earth. Although there have been line-up changes over the years, (PAUL FENECH being the only original member) the search for the perfect combination is now over. THE METEORS are a known name, experienced, professional working band, with an established audience. Their most recent release is "Hell Train Rollin’" from 2009.

Jack Rudy is an American tattoo artist notable for his reinvention of the 'Black and Gray' style of tattooing, realistic portraits, and single-needle use. He is considered to be one of the top tattoo artists in the world.

After leaving the Marines in 1975, Rudy began his career as an apprentice at Goodtime Charlie’s Tattooland, in East Los Angeles. Under the watch of Charlie Cartwright, a friend of his he had met while visiting the Old Long Beach pike while on leave from the USMC Logistics Base in Barstow CA, Rudy and Cartwright began to hone their craft of single-needle, Black and Gray style tattoos. Simultaneously creating a whole new sub genre of modern tattooing and raising the proverbial bar for many new emerging tattoo artists and artists in general. His very distinct and distinguishable style is renowned for its masterful use of light and dark shades of varying degrees of black and grey. In addition to creating a softer and more realistic style of tattooing, with the advent of the new single needle tattoo technology artists were now able to use a much greater level of detail than previously attainable utilizing older and more readily accepted tattoo machine and needle configurations. As the client base of East Los Angeles began requesting this 'penitentiary-style', the pair decided to create a single-needle configured tattoo machine.

Rudy is currently the president of the Beatnik's Car Club - a car club which requires the members to own 50s-styled hot rods and 'lots of tattoos'. He is the owner of Tattooland, an 'old school' street shop, located in Anaheim, California.

The Leningrad Cowboys is a Finnish rock band famous for its humorous songs, ludicrous hairstyles and concerts featuring the Russian military band Alexandrov ensemble.

The band was an invention of the Finnish film director Aki Kaurismäki for the feature film Leningrad Cowboys Go America (1989). The fictional band, however, was made up of Sakke Järvenpää and Mato Valtonen, members of a real Finnish band the Sleepy Sleepers with some additional musicians.

After the film, the band took on a life of its own, recording music, making videos and giving concerts. The band appeared in two other Aki Kaurismäki films, the Leningrad Cowboys Meet Moses (1994) and the Total Balalaika Show (1994), which is a film of a concert performed by the band and the full 160-member Alexandrov ensemble in Helsinki, Finland in June 1993.

Currently, the band has 11 Cowboys and two Leningrad Ladies. The songs, all somewhat influenced by polka and progressive rock, are performed in English and have themes such as vodka, tractors, rockets, and Genghis Khan, as well as folkloric Russian songs, rock and roll ballads and covers from bands as diverse as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, all presented with lots of humour.

Some behind the scenes shots of the production of my first Hot Rod & Kustom Kulture book "Speed Kings" (Gestalten Publishing) back in 2007.

It's a Satanic drag thing you wouldn't understand! It's not what you think it is. It's pure power, adrenaline, danger, suspense, Pin-Ups, passion and soul. Call it Rock 'n' Roll. Die Gestalten proudly present "Speed Kings", the hottest publication this summer is likely to see. "Speed Kings" presents photographs by Dirk Behlau that show the wonderful world of Drag racing. Dirk Behlaus photographs skillfully capture the primordial displays of power and high-tech, the eroticicsm of machines and the open flirtation with death and destruction. It was certainly not Jesus who built these Hotrods but dedicated people who create, drive and admire their time bombs like no-one else. Drag racing's individual brand of aesthetics fascinates an ever-growing community of fans all around the world. Drag racing is down-to-earth as well as accessible and affordable. Like we said, it's Rock 'n' Roll.
