"And now, ladies and gentlemen, the Bijou Planks presents... Phoenixman in a Kinniku origin."

Super Phoenix is one of The Five Fated Princes. Six boys, including Kinnikuman, that were born in hospital on April 1st, 1960. He was raised in poverty and lived in jealousy of Kinnikuman, but was gifted with a vast level of intelligence.

His Intelligence later expanded to cosmic proportions, which he used to enter a tournament to decide the future king to Planet Kinniku in the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc.

He then returned in Kinnikuman 2011, alongside the other Throne candidates (minus Kinnikuman Soldier), to try to stop the Omega's Six Spears. He is defeated by Omegaman Aristera, but then he recovers and fights alongside Big Body against the evil chojin.

Personality

The former man known as Phoenixman was a kind and humble inhabitant of Planet Kinniku but, since his childhood, was jealous of people like Suguru Kinniku, the Prince of Planet Kinniku. Kinnikuman seemed to have such an easy life compared to him.

That feeling would end up breaking his kind and humble self, after Phoenixman became the cosmic herald of intelligence. Phoenixman entered a bloody Tournament for the Kinniku Throne.

He become a brutal, mocking and merciless wrestler in order to fulfill his objectives, never caring if he injured others in his quest, even if they are from his own team. That trait was lost after his defeat at Kinnikuman's hands.

After that point, Phoenixman became a more cunning and calmer fighter, representing the essence of the Master of Intelligence, such as when he planned the early matches when the choushins descend upon Earth.

Appearance

In combat, Phoenixman wears a rather simple outfit, consisting on a pair of blue pants and boots,* as well as a cape that he take out when he enters the ring. He has a similar face to Kinnikuman, but with a characteristic tattoo on it.

Super Phoenix was the one that defeated and humiliated Kinnikuman Big Body after having a rather short fight, leaving him as little more than a joke. Despite this, Big Body doesn't feel bad about it, and has no problems in teaming up with him, even after his humiliation.

Mammothman acted as Phoenixman's right-hand man during the final arc of the original series, as well as been his most confident ally and supporter. He seems to have a big loyalty towards Phoenix, since he came back to help him during the Chojin invasion.

Super Phoenix has a strong bond with his ailing mother, Shizuko Phoenix, and vice-versa. With her traveling to earth to see her son and try to free him from a evil entitie's grasp.

History

Super Phoenix was born Phoenixman, in the same hospital and on the same day as Kinnikuman and four other boys. A fire broke out in the wing of the hospital where they were being kept and in the chaos they may have been mixed up leading to confusion over the identity of the true heir to the throne of planet Kinniku. Phoenixman grew up poor and alone, hoping that he could prove himself to be the heir and be taken away from his misery.

He had planned on entering a tournament to become the next successor to the throne, but was unable to gain sponsorship by the death of his father (King Tōn, the pig that was mistaken for the real Kinnikuman, is believed to have won this tournament). Phoenixman's misery only increased when Kinnikuman was revealed as the prince of planet Kinniku, as he was (in Phoenixman's eyes) an idiot who got money and recognition without working for them, while Phoenixman was intelligent and had to struggle to survive. He hated Kinnikuman with a passion and trained vigorously to one day defeat him and take the throne. He would eventually develop a deadly heart disease, but ignored it in order to continue his training.

Kinnikuman

Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc

When Kinnikuman had proven to his family that he was worthy to become the next king because of his various championships and victories over Akuma Chojin, five evil entities began to fear his interference in their plans. They decided to seek out the five other possible heirs and have them present their claims to the throne as well, resulting in a Survivor Series to determine the most worthy successor. Phoenixman was chosen by the Master of Intelligence (知性の神, Chisei no Kami) to be his champion against Kinnikuman's ascension, and he relished the chance to get revenge on Kinnikuman and claim the throne he believed was rightfully his (shortly before this, his dying mother had told him that he might be the true prince). He became Kinnikuman Super Phoenix and gathered a team of powerful, ruthless Chojin to assist him.

In the first round of the tournament, Super Phoenix's team was pitted against Kinnikuman Big Body and his team in Aizuwakamatsu Castle. Phoenix's ally Mammothman tore through Big Body's teammates before intentionally tying with the last one to allow Phoenix to battle Big Body. Phoenix quickly defeated Big Body with the Muscle Revenger, an attack supposedly only usable by members of the royal Kinniku bloodline.

Team Super Phoenix's next round was against Kinnikuman Soldier (really Kinnikuman's brother Ataru Kinniku) in Nagoya Castle. Satan Cross fought and killed The Ninja and tied with Asuraman, and Phoenix, Mammothman and Prisman took on the remainder in a six-man match. Prisman and Mammothman were ultimately taken out of the fight at the cost of the lives of Buffaloman and Brocken Jr. respectively, leaving Ataru and Super Phoenix to finish it. Though Phoenix had burnt Ataru's Muscle Prophecy page (causing him to begin to disappear from existence), Ataru managed to put him into a Muscle Spark, more to show his brother a technique powerful enough to defeat Phoenix than to beat the challenger to the throne himself. Phoenix gained the upper hand and killed Ataru with a Muscle Revenger, and soon after Ataru disappeared.

In the finals in Osaka Castle, Satan Cross and Prisman fell to Kinnikuman and Ramenman respectively and The Omegaman defeated Geronimo. The final match would be a six-man tag match with Super Phoenix, Omegaman, and Mammothman opposing Kinnikuman, Robin Mask, and Neptuneman (The Samurai), but Phoenix came up with two new stipulations. The first was that each fighter would hang their Muscle Prophecy page over a fire by a string, and those strings would be tied along with several others to the ring ropes. To prove the effectiveness of this, he burnt Geronimo's page, causing him to disappear. The second was that the winner not only got the throne, but also Bibimba's hand in marriage. Although this seemed to be just another part of Phoenix trying to take everything from Kinnikuman, he shows real concern for Bibimba and calls a short truce with Kinnikuman in order to go save her when she falls from the stands. He also stops Harabote from making a 20-Count when Kinnikuman leaves the ring to heal her with his Face Flash.

After Robin and Neptuneman have been erased and Mammothman and Omegaman have been defeated, a fierce one-on-one commences between Kinnikuman and Super Phoenix, in which Phoenix revealed that he can perform the Kinniku Clan's Face Flash technique. When it seemed like Phoenix would win and he had burnt Kinnikuman's Muscle Prophecy page, his mother Shizuko arrived. She reveals that she had only told him that he might be the real prince so that he would feel better about his life and that the only reason he can perform the Face Flash is because she washed his face in the sacred Kinniku Clan's Muscle Falls when he was a baby.

Phoenix refused to believe this and tried to defeat Kinnikuman with the Muscle Revenger but his heart disease begins to act up. During this, the souls of those erased by Phoenix (Ataru, Robin, Geronimo, and Neptuneman) went to the Temple of the Evil Entities where Kinnikuman's Kajiba no Kuso Djikara was sealed and freed it. Because of this, Kinnikuman and his page were revived and he broke out of the Muscle Revenger and defeated Phoenix with a Complete Muscle Spark. When the Chojin Pantheon demanded Phoenix be erased, Kinnikuman strongly requested otherwise and revived his erased friends and the murdered Team Soldier. After he is given the throne, Kinnikuman revives Phoenix with a Face Flash and holds him in his arms, recognising Phoenix as a friend. In the interim period, between the Throne arc and the Omega Centauri's Six Spears arc, Kinnikuman offered Super Phoenix a position in his government, but Super Phoenix refused every time Kinnikuman made that offer.

Kinnikuman 2011 Omega Centauri's Six Spears Arc

During the Omega Centauri's Six Spears arc, he was seen working a field on a desolate planet. He's also grown off-screen. The Master of Intelligence appears and told Super Phoenix that he must descend to Earth once again as his friend has been shaking things up behind the scenes. After the Fated Princes (minus Kinnikuman Soldier) reclaimed their masks from the Chojin museum, they arrived at the Sagrada Familia. Super Phoenix and the others revealed that they're there to kill the Six Spears. Also, Super Phoenix revealed Dexia infiltrated Super Phoenix's team as part of a mysterious plan.

For the death matches, Super Phoenix revealed 5 arenas in 5 ancient castles all over the world. Omegaman Aristera wonders how Super Phoenix knows about their history in the first place. Super Phoenix's opponent was Aristera, and their match took.place at Azuchi Castle.

Phoenix vs. Aristera

During the match, Super Phoenix angers Aristera by saying that his accidental murder of Dexia and subsequent loss against Kinnikuman was great because he put a wrench in the Six Spears' plan. However, Aristera won't stand for the Six Spears' pride being insulted and demonstrates the Omega Apocalypse Crash on Super Phoenix.

Super Phoenix survived the attack by calculating a way out of it. He proceeded to make a comeback by using his intelligence against Aristera's overwhelming power and demonstrated the Phoenix Thunder Storm grapple on him. This causes the ring to crash into the roof of Azuchi Castle, revealing a portal into the Chojin Graveyard.

It is revealed the Six Spears' ancestors built the precursor to the Azuchi Castle as a way to gain access into the Chojin Hakaba. Oda Nobunaga would follow in the ancient Chojins' footsteps, but The Man sent visions into Akechi Mitsuhide's mind and coerced him into betraying Nobunaga. Aristera asks Super Phoenix to join them in their quest to kill The Man and the other Chojin pantheon, but Super Phoenix refuses.

Despite his advanced skills, Super Phoenix was unable to damage Aristera significantly. Aristera even managed to reverse the Muscle Revenger with the Giant Glove Cutter technique. To make matters worse, The Master of Intelligence showed up. Even though Phoenix refused his offer to be possessed, Phoenix changed his mind after seeing the large gap in power between him and Aristera. With this new boost in power, Phoenix was able to make another comeback in the fight.

When Super Phoenix attempted to finish off Aristera with a super-powered Muscle Revenger, Lunaight, Hailman and Gear Master's souls appear on Aristera's Omega Hand and channel their Friendship Power into Aristera, giving him the strength to take on Super Phoenix. They tell him to never give up on their hopes before vanishing.

Super Phoenix asked how he managed to get a grasp on Friendship Power. Aristera explained he obtained that power through the hopes of his Omega Centaurians and broke out of the Muscle Revenger. Aristera somehow planned for Phoenix getting possessed by the Master of Intelligence. He boasted that he'll be the first one to beat a cosmic being in combat.

Super Phoenix realised that Aristera is like Kinnikuman in that he has the same infinite potential as him. Aristera hated that Chojin were stuck with the Chojin Kyodo they were born with and sought to change that by fighting powerful Chojin and connecting with them. Aristera was glad that the Pantheon focused on Kinnikuman, allowing Aristera to build up his power in secret. Aristera pulled off another Omega Apocalypse Crash on Super Phoenix.

The Master of Intelligence reminded Super Phoenix that he has the power of a Cosmic entity behind him. Super Phoenix should be able to recover from this. Super Phoenix does another Muscle Revenger, but Aristera was able to reverse that into a modified Omega Catastrophe Drop, the Omega Armageddon Avenger. Just before he passed out, Super Phoenix revealed that he chose to fight Aristera and the Six Spears because he was humbled by Kinnikuman's kindness and that the Omega Centaurians and the Man were former allies.

Also, Super Phoenix suggests that the Six Spears were being used by a greater being and pities the Six Spears because of it. Aristera tells him to shut up and chokes him. Aristera believes that The Man changing doesn't mean the crimes he committed against the ancestors of the Omega Centaurians will vanish. Aristera only wants The Man to atone for those crimes. In response, Super Phoenix thinks that Aristera knows nothing about The Man's love for Chojin and that all Chojin would thank the Man if they learned about what he did.

Before tossing a beaten Super Phoenix aside, Aristera claims that Super Phoenix was "a surprisingly upright Chojin to fight". He wonders if Super Phoenix was always like this and theorises that Super Phoenix changed by the fight against Kinnikuman during the finals of the Scramble for the Throne tournament. Aristera corrects himself and suggests the fight changed them both. He notes the reason why Dexia served Super Phoenix in the first place.

Interim

When Kinnikuman woke up after his fight against Pirateman, he is dismayed to learn that Super Phoenix would lose to Aristera. Aristera attempts to intimidate Kinnikuman by claiming that the power of the Omega Centaurians is untouchable. That just motivates Kinnikuman to get revenge for Super Phoenix's loss.

When Aristera and Mariquitaman challenge the Full Metal Jackets to a match, Super Phoenix reveals that he still has the remote for the six-way Anti-Gravity match from the Scramble for the Throne tournament. He activates the arena, giving the Full Metal Jackets and the Six Spears a suitable ring to fight in.

Miraculously, he survived his fight against Aristera. When the Master of Harmony's faction invades Earth, he announces that the greatest threats Earth will face are here.

Unnamed Arc

Just as Rampageman and Kinnikuman Big Body get ready to fight, Kinnikuman Super Phoenix appears on a nearby monitor and tells Big Body to stop.

Kinnikuman Super Phoenix reveals that he knows where the Capilliaria pieces are located. Just as the Master of Harmony's faction leaves, Big Body sarcastically thanks Super Phoenix for the time Mammothman destroyed Big Body's team and for potentially dooming the Chojin world now. Luckily, Super Phoenix reveals that he has a job for Big Body somewhere else. More specifically, the Roman Colosseum in Italy. As it turns out, Super Phoenix wanted Big Body to form a tag team with him.

Kinnikuman Big Body arrives at the Colosseum in Rome, at the request of Kinnikuman Super Phoenix. Super Phoenix arrives and asks that Big Body tag-team with him to defeat the choushin. Phoenixman gives Big Body one of the Capillaria Rays, which once belonged to Omegaman, and together they enter the Colosseum, where a ring awaits (along with three disguised choushin). Phoenixman says that they will bet their two Capillaria rays on the outcome of a tag-team match. They jump into the ring, at which point two of the choushin also enter the ring: the Notorious and Ideaman.

Herald of Intelligence vs Mighty Hercules

Ideaman waits with the Master of Harmony and the Notorious at the colosseum in Rome. Kinnikuman Super Phoenix and Kinnikuman Big Body agree to fight them in a two-on-two match; the winner of said match will get to keep two capillaria pieces. Ideaman agrees to fight alongside the Notorious. Big Body begins with an attack against Ideaman.

Phoenix seems distracted by the television monitor, which shows the end of the Mammothman fight, and this distracts Big Body, allowing Ideaman to land a rapid succession of chops. Big Body falls back, allowing Phoenixman to tag into the match. Phoenixm enters a lock-up with Ideaman, until Ideaman attempts a side-suplex. He introduces himself as Ideaman: the Master of Reason. Phoenix attacks with a Phoenix Stretch, but Ideaman counters by leaping into the air and using a Hercule Suplex with the Notorious. The Notorious introduces himself as the Master of Madness.

Big Body switches to take the place of Phoenix, and the Notorious switches with Ideaman; the Notorious uses a somersault kick against Big Body. He follows his attack with a White-Tiger Spin-Kick against Big Body, and the Mighty Hercules use a Figure-Four Tiger-Claw Crush on him. This slices open the side of Big Body's mask, and causes Phoenix to rush into the ring. Ideaman kicks away Phoenix, while the Notorious kicks away Big Body. This knocks the Cosmic Selected down. Kinnikuman arrives at the Colosseum, but the Cosmic Selected ignores him.

Big Body launches a double-lariat on the Might Hercules, but they counter with roundhouse kicks. The Notorious uses a Sabre Tiger Suplex, before tagging in Ideaman, who uses an Idea Twister, but Big Body breaks free with a Kangaroo Kick. The Mighty Hercules use a Parasite Storm, which strikes both Phoenix and Big Body. The slew of injuries causes Phoenix to criticise Big Body, and Big Body to lash out by striking at Phoenix. He states he will fight alone, unless Phoenix starts to respect him.

Big Body charges in head-first, only to be struck again by the Mighty Hercules. Kinnikuman advises Phoenix that - while right - he must consider Big Body's feelings, in order to persuade Big Body to listen to him. After a series of exchanged blows, Phoenix jumps into the ring; he uses a neck-breaker drop on the Notorious, which helps to free Big Body from the tag-team and downs the Notorious. Phoenix apologises to Big Body, before they take Ideaman and the Notorious respectively into two holds. They use an Oklahoma Avalanche Crash.

Ideaman grabs both of the Cosmic Selected, before using a Real Twin DDT with the Notorious. This downs the Cosmic Selected, which triggers a countdown. They rise on the count of three, but Ideaman strikes at both Big Body and Phoenix; Phoenix counters with a rolling savate. He proceeds to defend himself using the Muscle Curtain, which gives Big Body the chance to intervene. Phoenix leaves the ring, while Ideaman and the Notorious also switch. Phoenix switches back into the match, as he drop-kicks the Notorious.

The Notorious uses a Sabre Tiger Dentes on Phoenix. This knocks Phoenix down, and so Ideaman switches back into the ring. Ideaman has let down his guard, and so Phoenix launches a surprise counter attack. Phoenix uses the Muscle Revenger. Ideaman uses a Hardness Level 10: Diamond, which stops him from being killed; Phoenix anticipated this, as it was part of his plan to damage Ideaman's inner ears, not to kill him. The Mighty Hercules are now unable to use Parasite Storm. Phoenix uses a Death Valley Bomb, countered by the Notorious' Sabre Tiger Dentes.

Big Body knocks away the Notorious, saving Phoenix, meanwhile the Notorious grows frustrated at Ideaman and refuses to work alongside him. He uses a Notorious Twin Beheading on the tag-team. He uses a Sabre Tooth Dentes on Big Body, until using the same attack on Phoenix, and Big Body retaliates with a Tiger Suplex. Ideaman dives into the ring to save the Notorious, leading to the Notorious being slammed upon him. Ideaman and the Notorious argue about his self-sacrificing act, as the Notorious maintains it is better to be selfish.

The Mighty Hercules prepare for their Real Twin DDT, but the Cosmic Selected break free from their holds. Phoenix grabs Ideaman in a Muscle Revenger, as Big Body grabs the Notorious in a Maple Leaf Clutch, and the two dock their moves together to use a new tag-team move: Pinnacle Combination. This lead directly into their Cosmic Bless Revenger. This move instantly defeats the Mighty Hercules. Ideaman cryptically reveals - before he loses consciousness - whether the Choushin destroy the Chojin depends entirely upon the Chojin.

Techniques

Muscle Revenger (マッスル・リベンジャー)

Phoenix continually headbutts his opponent and sends them flying up in the air, as they come back down he executes a hyper powered headbutt and then as they are upside down he grabs their arms from the back, places his legs over them and drives them to the canvas head first.

Death Body Shoot (デスボディ・シュート)

Initially used on the beheaded corpse of Golemman to provide an escape for Robin Mask and Terryman, Phoenix launches his opponent and kicks them with great force.

Chojin Decoration Tree (超人デコレーションツリー)

A combination move with Prisman and Mammothman. Mammothman throws the opponent into the air facing upwards. Prisman catches the opponent in a triangle choke hold while Super Phoenix applies a figure four leg lock at the same time. The opponent then falls onto Mammothman's shoulders and he applies an Argentine Back-Breaker hold as well.

Chōjin Draw and Quarter Raging Ox (超人牛裂き刑レイジング・オックス)

Phoenix binds his enemy's head and feet on the ring ropes, hearkening back to the medieval execution method of being torn apart by animals. He then begins to knee-drop directly onto his enemy's chest, which is so painful that when it was performed on Kinnikuman, his heart stopped.

Phoenix Psycho Wave (不死鳥フェニックス乱心波, Fenikkusu Ranshin Ha)

Phoenix releases a mind wave that allows him to control whoever it hits.

Phoenix Stretch (不死鳥フェニックスストレッチ)

Phoenix jumps onto his opponent's shoulders and crushes their head by using their arms and his leg as a vice.

Face Flash (フェイスフラッシュ)

The same mysterious technique used by Suguru and Ataru. When Phoenix reveals his face, a bright light is emitted. He tried to use it to cut off the Fate Thread of Suguru but instead snipped Omegaman's Thread.

Muscle Inferno (マッスル・インフェルノ)

Borrowed from Kinnikuman Zebra and used with the power of the Master of Technique.

Scorpion Deathlock (スコーピオン・デスロック)

Niku Curtain

Kinnikuman Super Phoenix raises his arms in a reverse V formation in order to guard against enemy attacks.

"I am... The Wolfman."

The Wolfman??

...pages rustling...

Yep, it says, 'The Wolfman'.

It also says Rikishiman.

"I am... also known as Rikishiman."

So, what's with Wolfman?

Wolfman as in 'Jack' or lycanthrope?

"I am... THE ETERNAL YOKOZUNA!! Dosuko~i! どすこーい!"

Great, now he's yelling.

Waaaaiiiit, wait, wait. I think I remember this guy!

What, really? He's been on before?

It was a long time ago!*

"GOTTAN DESU! ごっつぁんです!!"

Now I don't even understand what he's yelling.

He looks like a sumo. Why 'Wolfman'?

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am... The Announcer. I will provide Rikishiman... *ahem*... Wolfman's origin."

GAH! An origin!

Just let Wolfman yell some more!

"Wolfman is a Japanese sumo-wrestling chojin who once held the title of Chojin Sumo Yokozuna, but later switched to Chojin Wrestling. He trains his muscles vigorously and boasts of his Beautiful Muscles of Steel (鋼の肉体美 Hagane no Nikutai-bi) (muscles that exceed Kinnikuman's).

At first he despises Kinnikuman and calls him Zeinikuman (ゼイ肉マン, Flabbyman), but after losing to him in a Sumo match he begins to respect his abilities. From then on, he appears as an Idol Chojin and fights against the Devil Chojin.

With the 21st Chojin Olympics final preliminary and his fight with Springman, Wolfman often ends up facing rather plain opponents in one-sided fights. He becomes the cannon fodder, or jobber, of the Justice Chojin (quickly and easily defeated in order to show off how powerful the villains are), dying and returning to life three times throughout the series. Despite this treatment of his character, Wolfman's specialty in Japan's national sport of Sumo has garnered him plenty of fans.

Wolfman starts with a mocking yet charismatic personality, that despise Kinnikuman for been the representative of Japan in the previous Olympics. After his defeat, he starts to respect him, and helps in multiple occasions, like facing against the Seven Devil Chojin, or giving his powers to Kinnikuman, sacrificing his life.

He seems to be pretty persistent and an optimist, with a "never surrender" mentality, as seen in Episode 13 of Deep of Muscles, were he trains continuously in the Chojin Graveyard, as well as been someone who will always try to show he is worthy to be called an Idol Chojin.

Wolfman is a bulky chojin with muscles that are far more developed then Kinnikuman. Wolfman has dark black hair that is tied up in a bun at the top of his head. Wolfman has white eyes and normally wears blue shorts with stone on the belt, normally consisting of the color of yellow or red.

He starts as a rival for Kinnikuman, but after his defeat, they become friends, and Wolfman starts to respect him more, to the point of sacrificing his own life for his sake, or helping him in spirit form in a couple of occasions.

He and Brocken Jr made a tag team to enter the Universal Chojin Tag Tournament, despite never interacting before. They don't talk at all after the arc, but later they would fight as the Most Dangerous Combo in a few battles.

Geronimo was the one that Wolfman choose to cut his topknot after sacrificing his power sphere to help Kinnikuman. And after Geronimo's death, their spirits help lifting the diamond ring were Kinnikuman and General Devil were fighting. Geronimo was also the only idol Chojin who could come to his retirement ceremony.

Wolfman is an entrant to the 21st Chojin Olympics. He first appears on television, where he challenges and provokes Kinnikuman, as they are both representatives of Japan.

Wolfman continues to taunt him throughout the preliminary events. At the third preliminary event, Wolfman slips on a banana peel and comes in at almost last place, so that he barely enters the top-50 that are able to proceed to the last preliminary event. Due to Terryman being disqualified, he is able to continue.

The final preliminary event is a ten-lap race. Wolfman knocks Kinnikuman off a bridge, at which point The Fishers knock him off in turn. They decide to call a truce and take on the remaining opponents; together they knock out the Fishers, before turning their counters upside-down from "9" to "6", so that they can convince others to let them pass out of pity. Due to a spill from Oilman, the last chojin fall down, and both men are able to pass through the finishing line and land a place in the main tournament.

The first match is against Cubeman, where they begin by staring each other down before a huge crowd. Wolfman proceeds to leave a series of slaps to all of Cubeman's square parts, which causes them to swell and extend; the red sides are blood blisters, the yellow sides are pus, and the blue sides are bruises. Wolfman then uses a Double Crush, before tossing Cubeman out of the ring. He bounces like a ball, until an elderly person pops him with an umbrella, which causes him to explode and die.

The semi-finals match takes place in Kuramae Public Arena, where Meat Alexandria acts as a guest commentator. Four people surround the ring, while Kinnikuman is required to wear a fundashi. The ring is flipped over to reveal a sumo circle, and Kinnikuman starts with a Kinniku-Sumo Kick. He attempts a brain-buster, but Wolfman evades the attack. Wolfman tries to throw Kinnikuman out of the circle, as per sumo rules, but Kinnikuman holds onto him to stop being thrown.

Wolfman delivers a Rubik's Cube Slap to Kinnikuman's face. He manages to toss Kinnikuman out of the circle, but Mayumi Kinniku bursts the swollen blisters of his head and Kinnikuman floats back into the circle.

They grab each other's belts, where Kinnikuman is nearly thrown again, and he survives again an underarm throw. Wolfman tries to crush Kinnikuman into submission, but he pushes back. Wolfman distracts him by claiming his privates are visible through his fundashi, before throwing Kinnikuman down against the ring.

Just as he is about to be declared the winner, they realize Wolfman is fully outside of the ring. Kinnikuman has used a suplex to throw him, and he has touched ground outside of the circle first, which disqualifies him from continuing in the tournament.

During the celebrations for the 21st Chojin Olympics: The Big Fight, the Seven Akuma Chojin are accidentally freed by Kinnikuman.

They kidnap Alexandria Meat during the festivities, and each take a body part, and declare that Kinnikuman must defeat each of them to retrieve a part and bring Meat back to life.

When Kinnikuman beats Black Hole, he cannot fight any longer and the Justice Chojin decide to fight on his behalf. The remaining Seven Devil Chojin - and justice chojin - match up to find their opponents, and Springman is matched with Wolfman.

He starts strong in the match, drawing blood from Springman, at Tottori Sand Dunes. Due to Springman being able to bend his body, he is able to limit the effect of the blows and absorb the impact of the Palm Punches. Wolfman attempts a Body Slam, but Springman bounces around, and - after a series of attempted Body Slams - the ring hardens like steel. Springman jumps out of the ring, creating a staircase out of some nearby rocks, and use his Devil Tomboy attack. He squeezes hard enough to kill Wolfman.

He is later revived along with Robin and Warsman by a dying Buffaloman.

Wolfman attends a chojin physical and fitness day. After having his power level halved by the new Evil Chojin, he is placed in a life-support bubble in order to maintain his strength, along with his friends. After Kinnikuman is killed in battle, Wolfman breaks free from his life-support bubble, and offers up his life-force so that Kinnikuman can live again. He reaches inside his chest and pulls out his life-force in a bloody display. Before he dies, he has Geronimo cut of his danbatsushiki as a symbol of his friendship for Kinnikuman.

He and Geronimo are later revived by the Perfect Mask.

Wolfman meets Kinnikuman with their friends. They go to Korakuen Stadium, where they discuss the upcoming Universal Tag Tournament. Wolfman announces that he has teamed up with Brocken Jr..

They make their entrance to the tournament, proving a popular team with the crowds. They are announced as official participants in the tournament with the tag name Most Dangerous Combo. After navigating a maze to their ring, which randomly pairs tag-teams in the first round, they are matched against the 20 Million Powers.

The gong for their match sounds. Screw Kid and Kendaman break onto the ring, and Brocken Jr. tries to confront them, only to be struck across the head by Kendaman. Wolfman believes that the fact Kendaman has no eyes means that he cannot see, and so he and Brocken throw him out of the ring together, only for him to use his ball to return to the ring and explain he can see. Screw Kid then attacks. He drives into both of them with his feet, while Kendaman joins him in using a Hell Screwdriver. This knocks Wolfman out and he loses his match.

Wolfman is seen again when he and Brocken help Kinnikuman and Kinnikuman Great fight off reporters trying to get a picture of an unmasked Robin Mask. [26] After that, he is referred to as being dead and his soul shows up with other fallen comrades to help Kinnikuman during the fight with the Hell Missionaries.

Without any explanation, Wolfman comes back to life and moves to Hawaii, where he has a successful career as a make-up wrestler. But, when Neptuneman sends out his message to all Justice Chojin in the world to come to Osaka and support Kinnikuman during his fight with Kinnikuman Super Phoenix, he and Jesse Maivia head for the airport together. They both show up (with Terryman and Ramenman) in time to stop the Evil Gods from attacking Super Phoenix's mother.

After the Survivor Match has passed, Wolfman has decided to retire from sumo wrestling because his tendon can't be repaired at all. His doctor notes that the tendon in the left leg went past the limit for surgeries and suggests that Wolfman should become a stable master.

During the retirement ceremony, his friends and family all take a shot at cutting Wolfman's topknot. Cubeman even shows some respect towards the man who defeated him in the 21st Chojin Olympics. Meat cries because Wolfman is the second friend to retire. Geronimo recalls the time he had to cut Wolfman's topknot during the Golden Mask arc and says that this is his second time doing this. Geronimo also praises Wolfman and calls him an unsung hero. Kani Base screws up the haircut ritual, but Coyoteman slaps him and ends the ritual with a grand recovery. Mayumi hands Wolfman a trophy commemorating his service as a Chojin Sumo Wrestler.

Black Ship interrupts the retirement ceremony, while carrying a battered Canadianman and Specialman . Meat tries to defend Wolfman, but he gets beaten up by Black Ship. Enraged by Black Ship, Wolfman challenges him to one last sumo match. Before the match begins, Geronimo tosses Wolfman's top knot back at him, giving him the strength to take on the American sumo wrestler. Despite having the advantage during the match, Black Ship loses to Wolfman because of a combination of Wolfman's Friendship Power and the Gasshō Hineri.

Wolfman attends the repurposing of the Sagrada Familia with Harabote Muscle. Harabote and Wolfman discuss his recent retirement, when the Six Spears arrive. The Six Spears attack the Sagrada Familia, killing the young chojin training on its newly built ring, and Wolfman announces he will come out of retirement to deal with the threat they pose.

Due to the Devil Chojin and Justice Chojin being trapped by Satan's force-fields, only Wolfman is able to fight against them. He strikes Lunaight, holding him about his waist, before Lunaight bites down onto his shoulder. He is then attacked by Mariquitaman and Pirateman, but returns to grab Lunaight again, only to realise he cannot hold all six chojin back.

This leads to the arrival of Teapackman, Curry Cook, Benkiman, and Canadianman. Together they challenge the Six Spears. Five of the Six Spears assume a individual position on the training rings that were placed on the Sagrada Familia, and Wolfman lands in Lunaight's ring in order to battle him.

Lunaight begins with a series of palm punches, which is then returned by Wolfman. Wolfman spots Kinnikuman on the giant screens, but - while goading Kinnikuman (who was stranded on Earth, thus avoiding the force-fields) - is bitten again by Lunaight. Wolfman forces back Lunaight's head, which rips skin from his shoulder. The sight of Wolfman willing to risk his life to save Earth inspires Kinnikuman, who heads to Spain in order to help them fight.

Omegaman Aristera asks that Lunaight sacrifice his life in battle, but Lunaight instead throws Wolfman against the ropes. [34] Wolfman proceeds to headbutt Lunaight, and the two are locked almost evenly in the centre of the ring.

Wolfman uses a right overhand throw, followed by an izori drop. Lunaight tries to bite Wolfman's right shoulder, but bites through the rope of the ring, and Wolfman counters with an underarm grab. [36] Wolfman proceeds to ask Kinnikuman why Kinnikuman never asked him for help in his Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne. Wolfman believes Kinnikuman pitied him due to his injury.

Lunaight uses a Metal Bite, which Wolfman counters with a slap. Wolfman uses a series of slaps and headbutts, and Wolfman and Kinnikuman antagonise each other, which fuels Wolfman's motivation in battle, and culminates in a Shumokuzori throw. Lunaight uses a Wolf Claw Attack, and proceeds to alter his for, before cutting him with his clawed feet and then entering a stand-off. He then transforms into a large beast. [36] The two are evenly matched, until Lunaight throws Wolfman from the ring and Wolfman is forced to hold onto the top rope to stop from leaving the ring.

Lunaight attacks with a Wolf-Tail Iron-Whip, followed with a Lunaight Bomb. A sumo-stomp is added to insult Wolfman, who is being beaten with his own sport, and Kinnikuman is reminded of their own match during the Olympics. Wolfman uses a Dragon Leg Screw, but is struck again by another Wolf-Tail Iron-Whip and a Wolfgang Spiral, as the tail wraps around him much as Springman once did in battle.

Lunaight asks Wolfman to tag out with Kinnikuman, which angers Wolfman enough to wrench off Lunaight's tail and uses a headbutt against him, but this is countered by a Metal Bite to the leg. Kinnikuman offers to tag out with Wolfman, but - inspired by their friendship - Wolfman uses a Rubik's Cube Slap.

A Metal Bite is delivered to Wolfman's arm, which he is unable to dodge due to the damage on his leg. Lunaight knocks him down with a choke-slam, but Kinnikuman uses their friendly rivalry to antagonize Wolfman into standing up, where he glows with new power, and Wolfman breaks Lunaight's jaw with a single slap, before resuming with his Rubik's Cube Slap. Wolfman attempts a Clasped Hand Twist, when - as Lunaight seems to be losing - Omegaman Aristera tells Lunaight that he cannot lose now that he has drawn out Wolfman's true power. To stop from being thrown, Lunaight digs his claws into the ring, and he starts to glow with a newfound power, in the same manner that Wolfman also glowed with power.

Wolfman is downed and sees the spirits of Canadianman, Curry Cook, Teapackman, and Benkiman. The two are evenly matched, until Wolfman summons his Friendship Power to use a Shiranui Unryu Drop. This knocks Lunaight out of the ring, who returns to his previous form, and the match is declared in Wolfman's favour. Lunaight tries to stand, but falls from the edge of the tower upon which the ring is placed, but Wolfman grabs at his arm and stops him from falling to his death. To save his pride at being saved by someone from Earth, Lunaight slashes at Wolfman's hand and chooses to fall to his death. He then motivates Kinnikuman during his fight with Pirateman.

With the years, Wolfman has gained some weight and become a teacher at the Hercules Factory. Wolfman was defeated by Clionel man. He then reappeared at ringside along with Buffaloman and Jesse Maivia during Kinniku Mantaro's fight with Scarface.

Techniques

Rubik's Cube Twist (ルービックキューブ張り手, Ryūbikku Kyūbu Harite)

Wolfman repeatedly slaps his opponent's face until it swells up to look like a Rubik's Cube (ironically first used on Cubeman, whose face looks like a Rubik's Cube already).

Wolfman Slap (ウルフマン張り手, Urufuman Harite)

Gasshō Hineri (合掌ひねり)

Wolfman's most well known finishing move. He flings the opponent into the air either by their head or by their neck.

Nekodamashi (猫騙し)

He claps his hand in front of his enemy's face to disorient them.

Body Slam (ボディスラム)

Wolfman lifts his opponent and slams them into the ground.

Izori Throw (居反り投げ, Izori Nage)

Wolfman dives towards his opponent's leg, grabs it and pulls them up.

Shiranui Unryu Nage (不知火・雲竜投げ)

Wolfman pushes his opponent into the canvas before leaping into the air with them and grabbing their right leg. Wolfman positions himself right on top of his opponent's back, grappling their arms to ensure they can't fight back, right before slamming them into the mat.
