I went out again to finish documenting the "Tattie Bogle Pirates" that are "invading" our little town, and really enjoyed seeing all the creative characters that were on display. I don't normally post so many pictures at once, however I wanted to "picture" as many of them as possible, and enjoyed both their "portraits" and full views, so here they are! I know there are a lot of them, but if you have the time, you might get a kick out of these guys! (and gals!)

This weeks theme is "My Day" and I spent the day documenting the pirate saga...I was surprised when I found myself reflected in the pirate's hook! I still didn't find all of the pirates, although I think I got most of them. : )
And....it was a lovely day for a walk around town!

I had so much fun with my prop from the scurvy picture I had to bring it back. I'm also trying out my new equipment that I purchesed for myself for my birthday. I got two Pocket Wizard's, a softbox kit, and a reflector. While I was there I picked up a couple sand bags so I can use my lightstands outside without constantly worrying about damaging any equipment. I'm looking forward to lots of fun with this new equipment.
On a side note, I think my best skill is making my face look all crazy.

So in case you missed it, September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, so what else could I do for my self portrait :)
I added the sword and eye patch to my pirate garb and set up in my faux studio aka carport. I took a ton of really silly pictures, and I finally got another wireless remote which made things soooo much easier.
