These 2 pipelines were being towed to Spain by the ZEUS tug but one was hit last wednesday by a ship at the north of Cherbourg. Damaged, it was decided by the authorities to divert the convoy to Le Havre under the assistance of the SRNH tugs. The pipelines are 500m long and will berth at the "Quai d'Osaka" which is an unused container terminal.

I just thought it was the coolest things to keep looking to the side of the highway through this beautiful natural wilderness and seeing a gigantic man-made structure.

The Spanish hauled gold from Peru over the Camino Cruces to a point on the other side of the river near Gamboa where it was then taken down the river, into the Atlantic Ocean, and eventually to Portobello. Gamboa is tucked up into the jungle, which regularly spills the birds and animals into the clean-cut world of man. Scientists from around the world flock to Gamboa to study the birds and animals along the Pipeline Road where birdwatchers have set world records for numbers and variety.

Was quite good actually.
