The famous Old Neptune pub on the beach at Whitstable ideally located for sunset shots, so we were always happy to give it a go for sunset and if there wasn't one then it was a nice replace to relax in with a cool drink

Cuckoo-pint are fruiting in my local woodland at the moment, this ones a little all over the place, which is exactly why I chose it.
A small pause from the Alsace images, this is from East Yorkshire that I took last weekend. I was having a post-walk pint in a pub I like called the Pipe and Glass in South Dalton. This couple turned up on their horses looking rather handsome. The lucky buggers did not even have to go into the pub; someone came out, took their orders, and then brought them their drinks. I can imagine that sitting on a horse having a pint brought to you is pretty satisfying. I don’t know the names of the riders or their horses, but they were happy for me to take a photograph.

Actually, the temps were near 30° c, unusual for Derby, so SWMBO was well happy.

Los Pubs de LONDRES definen a las calles y a la sociedad en las calles de la ciudad, el maravilloso PLOUGH PUB ambientado en su exterior con flores y plantas que se juntan con los colores verdes de su construcción en la calle Museum Street. Pintar los paisajes urbanos de London a través de las impresiones recibidas en mi viaje, pintura del artista pintor Ernest Descals sobre papel de 50 x 70 centímetros.
VENECIA-PINTURA-ARTE-ACUARELAS-PAISAJE-NOCTURNO-GONDOLAS-GRAN CANAL-PINTOR-ERNEST DESCALS-
El paisaje nocturno y sus enormes posibilidades plásticas en el pintar las escenas con vida y movimiento urbano, en el GRAN CANAL de la ciudad de VENECIA se juntan las góndolas con sus gondoleros y los típicos palos de amarre de las embarcaciones que tan conocidos son en los paisajes venecianos, con los toldos de los restaurantes de noche y algunas farolas que distribuyen los espacios, la luz como testimonio de las insinuaciones paisajistas y el agua del canal con sus brillos y reflejos. Pintura del artista pintor Ernest Descals sobre papel de 50 x 70 centímetros, obras pintadas con acuarelas.
Este año he pintado el Christmas con mis pinceles digitales, tratando de imitar a ese extraño e inigualable pintor Mark Shagall cuya pintura religioso-surrealista te transporta a un estado extraño entre la niñez, la ensoñación y la fantasía.
El sol acababa de ponerse a mi espalda, pero sus rayos jugueteaban con las nubes de levante, formando con ellas una efímera paleta de pintor, que decoró el cielo unos instantes. Como despidiéndose de las suaves temperaturas del veroño y anunciando la llegada del frío otoño invernal.

I came upon this cuckoo pint plant a while back growing in the middle of a busy track at Copped Hall. With permission, I lifted the plant and transported it to my garden where it has taken off and rewarded me with two beautiful flowers this year. One of my favourite wild flowers.
The Northern Shrike, with his hooked beak, is a fierce little bird, a predator of small mammals and songbirds. They breed in the far north and visit further south in Canada and the northern states in winter.
