A broken empty pint glass with a lolly stick pushed through the crack, just to prove that it really is broken.
Laughter - Harold Pinter
Laughter dies out but is never dead
Laughter lies out the back of its head
Laughter laughs at what is never said
It thrills and squeals and swills in your head
It thrills and squeals in the heads of the dead
And so all the lies remain laughingly spread
Sucked in by the laughter of the severed head
Sucked in by the mouths of the laughing dead.

Shot during some drinks to celebrate my friend's doctorate on a gloriously lovely evening at Frank's Cafe in Peckham.
Shot on old Agfa RSX 100 slide film which tends to take on a slight red tone as it ages - perfect in late evening sun.

I've been going through a lot of pints lately. Since the World Cup is only held once every four years, I've been trying to watch (or listen to) as many games as possible. With that comes pints. Lots of pints. I've called Spain to win the World Cup in 2010. Today Spain made the final 8 by defeating Portugal 1 - 0.
Hopefully my vuvuzela shows up before the final. Seriously, it's on it's way.

The grave marker of Harold Pinter, 1930 – 2008, in Kensal Green Cemetery, London, England, UK.
The inscription refers to him being a playwright, Nobel Laureate and husband of Antonia Fraser, usually known as Lady Antonia Fraser, or sometimes, Lady Antonia Pinter. She is a member of the privileged British aristocracy who Pinter, a life-long hard left socialist, married in 1980. Curiously, as a self-proclaimed Jewish-born atheist, Pinter is not only buried in Christian-consecrated ground but his death date is not given as 24 December 2008 but as 'Christmas Eve 2008'.
The photograph is a four image stitched panorama.

By the time I had reached Dent (I hadn't been sure I was going to go this far) I was gasping for a pint. The George & Dragon is a tap house for Dent Brewery, and this is what's left of a pint of Golden Fleece (I think).
