“It always is harder to be left behind than to be the one to go...”

Brock Thoene, Shiloh Autumn

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FLICKR!

Starting to get some of my stash organzied and apparently pink is now the most prominent color. Green/aqua used to be until I starting using it all up recently.

From @Spoonflower: The Y2K (year 2000) trend is back in 2022! This retro yet futuristic style has been popularized by Gen Z and Millennials who love the nostalgia of pop culture fashion from the late 90’s to early 2000’s. Here is my entry for this cross-millennia challenge "Y2K Pop" - hope it represents ✌️

A great big thank you for those who like and vote for this design :) Voting starts tomorrow (if you are in Australia), head to the Spoonflower website to vote. 😍

The red/pink synthetic covers over this apple orchard make it stand out on Google Earth images! Check it out. The covers protect the fruit from hail, which is an orchardist's enemy.

I'll show you the full quilts once the binding is done. I quilted this myself. Blogged about it

Got this fabric (sateen) half off at FabricLand. Love the shades of pink and the dark red could be read as hot pink. I'll use this to make an accent pillow or two.

The whole facade of this building was decorated with pink fabric, snow fencing, pink insulation foam and industrial velcro. Hand crocheted flowers were stuck all over.

From last Saturday's Nuit Blanche. Aperently not as great as last year's.

Mixed fabrics, fat quarter bundle. Cute with a touch of quirky!

Sincerity.

Truth.

The gifts of everyday magic.

Feel as if you've been spirited to an island with pink sands, soft green foliage and honeysuckle in bloom with this appealing group of fabrics that can transform any room. The dramatic Bansuri ikat print fabric can anchor a bed, an upholstered screen, a large chair or big pillows -- use it to make a design statement! Then coordinate it with the delicately drawn Toile Shanghai or the paisley print fabric Sugar Baby -- all complemented by a sprightly woven stripe fabric and a dressy textured white solid.

We took a vintage chair with great style, added new pink fabric, and created this gem.

Ticker tape style doll quilt, 20" square, sewn in a few hours atop prequilted fabric. Wanted something quick to make from my stash so that I could have a surprise for my daughter when she got home from school.
