If you can not arrive in daylight, then stand off well clear, and wait until dawn. After all, that's one of the things God made boats for- to wait in.

Dreaming of Autumn colors. 🍂🍁 We're suppose to have this year the best season for Autumn foliage. Can't wait for it!

The pines in the back row were small and young when I moved here many years ago. Now they tower over their own offspring, some of which struggle to grow so close to the always wet marsh in the foreground. The pines are a favorite place for wildlife and me and the dogs.

While walking on the Sweet Arrow Lake Park saw this covered fishing dock. This fishing dock is in the color photo that I posted before, too.

Leaves not as colorful this year. October 31 and most of the trees are still green or the leaves turning brown. I'm missing you, Autumn.

Maybe I'll miss the colorful leaves this year. I'll have a cataracts surgery in both eyes possibly in November. I'll try to take photos next weekends (if they aren't blurry) so I can post them during the time of my recovery. This photo was from last year.

I haven't been able of being here and comment on your photos. Busy time and trying to update with my stuff my new pc (Mother's Day gift (Alienware Aurora R-7). My son says that now I'm going to retire I need a pc that lasts for a lot of years. Then is the other problem with Flickr that takes a lot of time to work, hope they fix the problems soon. Thanks for your visit and comment in my photos, I'll catch with you as soon as I can.

With two lumber loads and a former UP caboose in tow we find Mount Hood Railroad GP9 4101 rolling into Pine Grove, Oregon. After passing me the train stopped for the conductor to turn up the retainers for the decent down the steep grade and switchback into Hood River for interchange to the Union Pacific - March 21, 2023.

A not so candid photo from a girl on the park, she turned and agreed to the photo. (Spring 2019) Textured and over saturated with Topaz Studio2 for Sliders Sunday.

I have wanted to photograph this barn for years, but the light was never right when I was there. I caught it in early April just as the sun peeked over the hills to the east, and I had my big lens along to bring it up close.

Out on Route 35 near Hood River, there’s this little place is called Pine Grove. There’s another place in Oregon with the same name, and this one isn’t called that on a map. Anyway, it has this little butte that looks like and Earth zit. It's called the Van Horn Butte. I love taking pictures of it..

Mt. Hood rises majestically above blossoming pear trees at Pine Grove, Oregon in April.

The snow-covered volcanic peak of Mt. Hood rises more than 11,000 feet above Oregon's lower Hood River Valley, as seen from the eastside, in Pine Grove. One of the houses I grew up in is visible in this shot.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, wherever in the world you might be.

Pine forest Northwestern Connecticut. One of Connecticuts largest pine Forest, to take a breath is truly refreshing

Looking across the orchards, barns, and farmhouses of the east side of the Hood River Valley, past Pine Grove and up towards the glacier-covered volcanic peak of Mt. Hood in the distance. This is where I grew up, and where I try to get back to every year – unfortunately, the global pandemic has gotten in the way this year, so I'll have to live vicariously through the eyes of others for now, and through these memories captured with my lens.

I had the Twirly Camera out for a spin (see what I did there) in the wee hours of spring, just as the pear blossoms were emerging in the Hood River Valley.

Let's hope it's bright.

The cemetary in Pine Grove, Oregon overlooks blossoming pear orchards, the fertile Hood River Valley and Mt. Hood.

Restful most of the year, in the late summer and early fall, Pine Grove is a busy place packing and shipping the pear harvest.
