Gabicce Mare è il comune più settentrionale della regione Marche, al confine con l'Emilia-Romagna. Risulta anche il comune meno esteso della provincia di Pesaro e Urbino. Sorge su una piccola baia detta Baia degli Angeli, nell'ultimo tratto del Golfo di Rimini, alle pendici settentrionali del Monte San Bartolo, sede dell'omonimo parco nonché confine meridionale della Romagna come regione storico-geografica. Gabicce è, quindi, l'ultimo comune (a Sud) della Riviera Romagnola della quale è possibile avere una visuale ampissima proprio dal promontorio di Gabicce Monte, dal quale sono visibili i grattacieli di Rimini e Cesenatico, nonché l'entroterra con i massicci di Monte Carpegna e Monte Titano (sul quale sorge la Repubblica di San Marino). Nel territorio comunale scorrono il torrente Tavollo e il suo affluente Taviolo, che si uniscono nei pressi del centro cittadino.
A giugno 2008 è stato inaugurato un moderno Ponte Levatoio (Pedonale/Ciclabile, a sollevamento idraulico) che collega Gabicce Mare (PU) alla confinante Cattolica (RN).

Parts of northern and eastern South Africa are covered in pine forests planted years ago for industrial use. This shot was taken near Tzaneen, Limpopo Province and is typical of the roads winding through the trees to the homesteads in the area.

Dark Clouds over Finnish Forest or Beauty of Forest Industry? In the following years Finnish forest industry needs much more "raw material" and it means even more these kind of landscapes. I just wonder is this really the best way to treat our forests? Would you use these methods in your backyard or garden? Forest industry says that old forests are really bad for the climate change as young ones grow faster. That is a very limited point of view. What about biodiversity? This was one of my favorite vistas to photograph.
I made this shot 12 years ago, when I joined flickr in 2009. (It's 2021 as I write this.)
Since then this lot by my home has been cleared and a house built there.
This is why photography is important.

Zion National Park is a southwest Utah nature preserve distinguished by Zion Canyon’s steep red cliffs. Zion Canyon Scenic Drive cuts through its main section, leading to forest trails along the Virgin River. The river flows to the Emerald Pools, which have waterfalls and a hanging garden. Also along the river, partly through deep chasms, is Zion Narrows wading hike.
A couple of months on from my last visit to Tewkesbury, and this door has had yet another refurb.
This time it's a wintry scene featuring skiers on a snowy mountainside; very appropriate for the season.
