I got a set of extension tubes today. Here's my first shot at macro photography. 18-55mm Nikkor, 28mm extension tube.

Made with small balls of stuffed fabric, hot-glued onto a pinecone. Blogged here: hazelnutgirl.blogspot.com/2012/01/pinecone-pincushion.html

In hindsight, I'm pretty sure I already posted this picture. I've cropped it in a bit more...or maybe I haven't. Either way, you gotta love a pinecone sunbathing on a beach.

More texturizing! The pinecone doesn't have the texture on it, though. Using Florabella's Texture action, I tweaked a lot of the lighting and contrast.

Having a good time making the bird feeders.

Based on the look I was given when I picked this up, I knew there was no way it was going to make it into the suitcase. So I took a photo to remember.

Kelsey was very proud of the pinecone she found.

A blind contour drawing of a pinecone and it's poky shadow. Not the easiest item to attempt.

Macro of a pincone found behind the yellow park

Sam has a sore paw again so i have been walking without him. I miss the little fella. So i decided to take my camera with me one day and shoot the trail we walk along with only my 50mm and from his view point. I liked this one. In fact, a little old man asked me, in broken english, if i was taking this picture for a Christmas card!
