This was seen on British TV last autumn with Simon Cowell of The X Factor and American Idol fame emerging from it.
In memory of pilot Michael Stephen Owen who was killed aged 29 in Cessna F150G G-AVPG at Denham exactly 40 years ago on December 19, 1968.
..and their boxes :P

How many of you remember MTV’s Pimp my ride, with its extravagant cars? I do, and I must confess I enjoyed that series! When I saw for the first time the LEGO Rey’s Speeder set, I don’t know exactly why, but I thought (almost) immediately of Benny and that show…
So I decided to build the speeder in the Classic Space colors, added some very badass (imho) details, boosted the engines, added a second seat and… obviously thought of a Xzibit minifig for the space era.
The story is this: Benny bought on S-bay a used speeder by a certain Rey from Jakku, but it was a downright rip-off. Mr. Robot, in the attempt of cheering his mate up, called MTV and... TA-DAH!!
Hope you like this MTV - Star wars – Classic Space mesh-up, as much as I had fun in thinking it up, building it and photographing it!
Well, actually, as for the photographing part… I did it in a big hurry, so it didn’t come out exactly as I had in my mind, but I had to do it before the Desenzano Event (www.cremonabricks.it/150909_desenzano.php). I promise more photos (and more detailed) next week!
So I made a moc and decided halfway through that he was a pimp. Another exploration into the importance of color blocking, which is more important than layering; however, this uses both.

The cape is custom; felt from a fabric store, meticulously cut freehand to fit on his neck and shoulders, and go around the gold things built into his torso.

Sorry Pimp, you left me no choice!!!
So, a few months ago, Pimp and the boys started this group called Fantastic Abeing Fridays, which some of you may have heard of. The point of the group was for everyone to pick an old shot and change the upload date so that it re-appeared at the top of your photostream and consequently, at the front of your contacts' pages.
Well, yesterday, I picked this shot of his, and he didn't do it. In fact, he fmailed me and told me he wasn't gonna do it this morning, and then he texted me calling me names and even sent me a picture (which will be in the comments soon) begging me not to post this shot.
Well, I gave him the choice between Abeing his shot by 6pm today or facing the music and having me call him out as a fake and a fraud. He even posted this thread in the group:

mini strikes back!
With her father the pimp still lost in his old photo stream courtesy of the cowboy, the young minipimp had successfully outran the cowboy and his all his goons to take cover. With all the fedoras officially locked away in a vault somewhere, and all the pimp signs trashed or destroyed, she decided to take matters into her own hands.
"I'll just buy a sharpie at a grocery store with money from my pimpy bank. And then I'll ask for them to give me a paper bag. Then I'll make a pimp sign for myself!", thought the clever little girl.
Of course as we all know a pimp sign is only as pimp as its beholder. But how much more pimp can you get than the freaking minipimp? It was time to show it.
No more feeling sorry for herself. She know she needed to take action! No more crying. No more getting pushed around. It was time to grow up and take charge!
Upon finishing her very first pimp sign by herself without her fathers help, it started to radiate a yellowish glow. She thought that was a little weird. But that didn't stop her...
"Oh, it's on. I can't wait to get my hands on that cowsissy now. I'm gonna make sure pimp week goes out with a bang!" denounced the little girl as she got prepared to face the sinister cowboy.
