Sakura Pigma Microns and colored pencils on Strathmore toned paper, 9x12".
I had only a Crayola white pencil at hand and it's clearly not white enough for this bird's plumage. My favorite warbler :)
2021. Arteza colored pencils and Sakura Pigma Micron pens on Comet Art sketchbook. about 10x17.
Based on a photo by Craig Goettsch, with his kind permission:
This drawing consists of three layers: 0.5 mm graphite, pigma microns, and colored pencils. The second layer was completely useless, detrimental to the result and was quite a loss of my time.

Shkhelda is one of the most stunning peaks in the Caucasus Mtns. Shkhelda has several jagged summits and no easy routes up.

Some mornings, it is enough to sit on the front porch with the pooch and a cup of strong hot coffee, watching the clouds float by.
Since I had a 20-minute wait in the lobby of my hotel before the shuttle ride back to the airport yesterday, I started to draw my everyday thing ... my purse. I finished it at home. drawingonnature.blogspot.com/
I fell behind partially because I spent so much time sketching out and discarding disturbingly violent images for this prompt. I know too many people suffering with Lyme to feel playful about this subject. Spray up, be safe. Lyme bites.
Inspired by a Koen Jacobs photo he titled "hat".

The original image is, of course, not mine and this reproduction is not for sale or promotion, merely for reference and practice.
Still playing catch-up here. After all the unpleasant feelings stirred up by the 'tick' prompt, I decided to go with something cute. Say hello to my little friend.
Works better with the Itty-Bitty WC box hoder.
I blogged about here and there are some photos here.
Video of the whole sketchbook here.
Ink markers on Bienfang mixed media paper
I was kind of stumped for an original/creative idea for this prompt and a giraffe who unexpectedly sprouted wings asked me to sketch it, so . . .
I just seem to be fascinated with the Funghi family these days...more to come probably...:)
This painting was done with Ink & Watercolor. The Inks I used were The Elegant Writer Pen, Pentel white gel, and my old standby Pigma Microns .

I can't say that I'm satisfied with it, but that's all about my lack of planning coupled with impatience/laziness. And, so. It will have to do.
Art pen(s) on Arches hot press watercolor paper (bad choice)
All the art supplies I like to haul around with me (for fear I might need something and not have it on hand).
It all fits in this Nomadic PN-91 Top Open Pencil Case, which measures about 7.75" long x 3.5" wide x 2.5" deep ...stuffed full.
The only drawback to this case is that I find myself digging around for my watercolor pencils. This can get a bit frustrating or awkward if I'm in a hurry.
I wish I could have a combination of a case like this, which holds all my stuff, with a pencil roll of some sort, thats actually part of the case, so I can see all the pencils at a glance and quickly grab the color I want.
That being said, its not all THAT frustrating... I think I'm just always on the look out for "THEE PERFECT" sketch kit/case.
