For Color Week - Day 4 | Green
So, I don't have many green things, and I wasn't able to get out and take many photos before it got dark, so you get an oldie that I just got around to processing.
This is the dining room at the George Wythe House in Colonial Williamsburg. This is one of my favorite houses in town. It has some amazing reproduction wallpaper including this green that mimics verdigris.

I pretty much instantly bonded with this room.
The is a section of the parlor, with elegant period furniture, at Bennett's Tavern which is located at the Erie Canal Village. The parlor was a quiet place, used by guests of the tavern and by local women. The parlor had a pier mirror at one time - this was a long, tall, mirror which was placed flush on a wall between two windows, often of the same shape and design as the windows themselves. Pier mirrors were a common decorating feature in reception rooms of large 18th-century houses. This parlor may also have served as the local post office. Located along Routes 46/49, west of Rome, NY.
With no cabinets (practically), using Indian teak bookshelf for storage, chair for table by window...
