My boss kindly allowed me to leave work early yesterday to catch the beautiful sunsets we have been having on the west coast of Scotland. I decided to head to Craigendoran Pier near Helensburgh, an old childhood haunt as I went to high school there. The sun came down perfectly over Greenock and Port Glasgow and I pushed the camera for some very long exposures. This is the first of 5 photos I will upload here. Have a great weekend :)

I really spent more time on this then I planned. I kind of fell down a rabbit hole and couldn't stop ..;) Here's some info which pretty much covers it, Tourist Trap ..;)

Pier 21 offers a variety of attractions, restaurants, and lodging at the pier’s exclusive hotel and marina, Harbor House Hotel and Marina at Pier 21. Mitchell Historic Properties owns and preserves approximately one-fourth of the buildings in The Historic Strand Seaport Area including Pier 21.

2014 was a great year. I've learned so much about the art of photography yet still I yearn for more. Happy 2015 everyone! Take 2 of Venice Beach Fishing Pier.

Late evening from the beach level along Middle River.

Long exposure taken of pier in Blankenberge. The old pier was burned by the germans in the world war and the new one (in art-deco style) was build upon it's ruins.

From this past winter season, a long exposure taken just after sunset as the cold evening took over Middle River.

Changing tides caused by the the Moon's gravitational forces; earthquakes; tsunamis; storm waves and surges; oil spills, drunken ship captains and more create danger for piers - that's PIER PRESSURE.

Crystal Pier, Pacific Beach, San Diego, California is the only pier where you can make overnight accommodations. The Hotel & Cottages opened in 1927.

Continuing my theme of unoriginality, I present this alternative vantage of Manhattan with its architecture and many piers behind the pilings of Dumbo Park in Brooklyn.
