Today I thought I'd try this Pokémon thing. I've caught a Pidgey or two, a Caterpie, two Growlithes, a Meowth, a Ponyta, Venonats, lots of Rattatas to name a few and received many items at PokeStops. We saw some very serious Pokémon players around the city, some going it alone others in groups. I got to level 6 and I have no idea if that's good or what. I must admit I like the game. and I'm evolving :)
Anyway, this huge stucco wall lizard (must be at least 15 feet long or more) is on the side wall of a house in Los Ranchitos. Love this lizard, he is not a Pokemon stop.
This wild pidgeon kept staring me for like 5 good minutes, until, after a few shots, decided I was worth a... slimy gift on my shoulder while flying away!

Love to play with reflections after a fresh summer rain shower. The Pigeon got involved and flipped his world upside down.
I feel a bit like I'm cheating already here because, while I did take photos this morning, I didn't like any of them enough to share. I did, however, take this shot a couple of weeks ago and I think its share-worthy. I'm so lucky to work in the Queen West area and be surrounding be amazing graffiti everyday. This piece is kind of cryptic and I'm assuming the wall will change again soon. What I like, but feel could be captured better, are all the birds perched on the roof - quite an interesting contrast in size to the massive capital letters.
Welcome to my new project! In this project I will be making creations based on the popular video-game franchise Pokémon, made by Nintendo. The creations are made solely by me, I don't use instructions or steal from others, but the original design of the Pokémons are owned by Nintendo and the Pokemon Company.
In the second batch includes Jigglypuff, Pidgey, Golbat and Ekans. Which one is your favorite?

I have had this idea swimming in my head for about a week now, and I was so excited to get it started that I put it before all other projects, both etch-a-sketch and school-related.
I have been wanting to do more work on an etch-a-sketch that incorporates more than one unit. The top image was a battle I had with a level 4 pidgey. I drew straight from the image on my SP.
The bottom portion is a gameboy pocket. It had the best proportions for an etch-a-sketch screen. The battle screen is stretched because on the SP you have the option to stretch out the pixels for GB/GBC games to fit the screen. It distorts everything, but yet again, it fits the etch-a-sketch screen better, and it is more interesting than seeing 2 bands of black on both sides.
This piece probably took about 3.5 hours. I must have taken over 30 photos to get a clear one like this.
