Portrait series... of occupations in the former GDR around 1980. I like the way the group portraits are .... so lively and the facial expressions .... great :-)) With some of them I couldn't help but smile.

Many thanks for your visits, likes and comments! Enjoy my stream and have a nice sunday! Regards, Olli ;-)
I finally managed to take a fairly decent picture of my picture wall in the living room. I like it a lot.

So I had to switch around my floating shelves and make this wall the picture wall because the wall has no studs to hold up the shelves. Note: 2 of the pics are new and I have yet to get them framed so they are just up there with tape for the time being.
From the vintage 1940's wedding I shot.
The photos are turning out so awesome! I love every little detail that she added and planned for this wedding :)
She and her mom made this wall for their guests to take photos in for their guestbook! How awesome/adorable is that!?!
Many more from this beautiful wedding to come :)
"Raven Whispers" is a handmade, circular, whimsical, mosaic, picture I made with high fired ceramics, with small Raven sculptures on top of handmade & glass tiles, glass flowers and glass millefiori. This piece was inspired by the Pixar short "For The Birds" animation that kept me and my family laughing and wanting to watch over and over again. (And we do!)The backing is of durable plywood with a handmade wire hanger mounted on the back for safe, reliable, mounting to your wall.
As with all my creations, this is a handmade, one-of-a-kind leash holder that can be copied, but not duplicated. Each piece is lovingly hand formed, mosaics pieces are individually hand-cut, meticulously arranged, and the glazes are applied with three to six coats to achieve the best color enhancement.

They're a bit too high because of that light switch so I'll have to get something small to put up under the switch.
Our front entry has become an ongoing project, combining our love of photography with wanting to include the people who have inspired us, it is a simple reminder every day to why we love what what we do. - “Live what you Love”
We are grateful to have an amazing group of friends, family and neighbours. Recently we held a portrait party to celebrate just that, photograph the people who inspire us and share the love that comes with giving a portait.
With our second year of volunteering at HELP PORTRAIT DTES, we see the greatest value comes out of sharing the message behind this great cause in person, an opportunity of making our parties a place where we can share in person.
Living in Gastown, we are grateful to be surrounded by creatives, entrepreneurs and an endless list of amazing talents. The evening was a great turn out, we had over a 100 people in our home with less than a week’s notice (the power of facebook) … out of 59 portraits we collected 14 pairs of socks + 23 pairs of gloves + 25 touques + 2 scarves for Help Portrait :: *** to continue our support will will gather again - please help us by spreading the word.

I recently purchased a picturewall in order to add some accents to my otherwise boring apartment.
A quick run to Costco today allowed me to add a few photos. They are (from left to right, bottom to top): Clouds approach Mt. Tam, Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls, unknown purple flower, Redwoods and West Berry Creek, Yellow flower backlit, Multnomah Falls, Angel Island at Dawn, Upper Yosemite and Half Dome, Footbridge over West Waddell Creek, Gibson Baby, and What’s in her bag (to go)?.
Here you can see the picturewall in it’s tiny stairwell environs.

Here you can see what the picturewall looks close up. Note that the bottom right photo is missing the plexiglass covering. I guess the person who inspected it was asleep at the wheel. I can’t say who it was because it just says: “Inspected by (unreadable chinese characters)”—really helpful guys!
