Having recently accustomed myself to the call of the Common Kestrel, I heard this guy well before seeing him. A nearby deer heard had spoked him enough that he was firing out a warning call.

Many cultures in the northern regions have been dependent on reindeers for thousands of years. So have ecosystems - up to 10,000 mosquitoes can feed on a single wild reindeer!
As the Arctic warms, vegetation patterns shift and industrial development is viable further and further north. WWF is developing an Arctic-wide conservation plan for wild reindeer and caribou.

One of my favorite animals, first time I seen this beautiful creature so close. Amazing.
The ocean produces half the oxygen we breathe and it absorbs 30% of the carbon dioxide produced. It certainly is inspiring too, like this majestic landscape in Borneo.

Icebergs broken off from glaciers drift south on the east Greenland current. Evidence of Arctic warming is present in widespread melting of glaciers and sea ice. Melting of reflective snow and ice will reveal darker land and ocean, which will increase our planet's absorption of heat. This could lead to a feedback loop of further warming and melting.
WWF believes that climate change is a problem we can all address and that we can find sustainable solutions to our energy demands and secure a bright future for our planet. Find out more ..and Seize Your Power! - panda.org/fb_seizeyourpower

Hey guys. Long time no see! I haven't really been in the origami mude due to some personal things.... Anyway, the situations are improving so I'm totally getting back into the folding attitude! I'll hopefully be making a bunch of progress on my 3.5 this upcoming week so stay tuned!
Anyway, in the other news, I got a brand new Nikon D3100! So happy, and I've decided to get into the wonderful field of photography! So many inspirations on flickr for that!
In the other other news, this is a picture of a new art form I've been attempting-- Crayon art! It's a type of canvas art where you heat up crayon wax with a heat gun, and you can use the techniques for a variety of interesting projects!
I snapped this picture of these two projects in a mini series that I'm working on called "Virtues In the Rain". It's a series of crayon art in which each piece represents a different character trait.
It's really nice being back in the mood to fold and upload so stay tuned for a variety of art projects (of course origami is included) !!
Because our actions today will decide what tomorrow will look like for generations to come... #EarthHour 2016 is tomorrow, Saturday 19 March, 8:30pm wherever you are.
