After the hot box detector at MP 17 of CN's Kingston sub announced 'not working, not working' but then gave a correct axle count, CN 377 called the RTC. After having slowed down, they were told they could resume track speed and here they are accelerating with CN 2567, CN 2504 and 133 cars. At left in the distance a westbound EXO train is approaching on CP's Vaudreuil Sub.
On the way back to Anacortes from Whidbey Island, we stopped to pick a pumpkin and get some fresh apple cider.

The staff seem surprised. Not sure why, after all the sign does say ‘pick up’!
I do like my bubble tea (‘no sugar’ and ‘less ice’). It makes a refreshing drink after a day out in town. In Sydney we used to only have a few stores, now there are stores everywhere! Some even sell bubble tea with cheese. Never tried it though, to be honest, not sure I will :)

Remember the game? This is similar to another photo I posted of these myriad, tiny mushrooms growing through a bed of moss, but with more of the pine needles, which give a sense of scale.
Addendum: Thanks to Richard Droker, who identified this as likely a lichen, rather than moss and mushrooms. (Of course, a lichen is a symbiosis between a fungus and an alga or cyanobacteria.) See his comment below.

Beware When Changing Adobe Plans—Learn from My Mistake
I thought I was being canny by switching from Adobe’s monthly plan to their yearly plan ahead of the imminent price hike. Turns out it was a huge mistake.
Earlier this year, I picked up a discounted Lightroom/Photoshop yearly plan during a sale on Amazon. These come with a redemption code that you can apply as a credit to your Adobe account. I’d already redeemed one the year before, so my plan was extended all the way to December 2025.
But after 30 minutes chatting to Adobe, I just discovered that when I switched plans, all that prepaid credit disappeared. Completely gone. I had no idea this would happen, and I wanted to warn others before they make the same mistake.

A cool April day is a long way from the warmth of summer yet. Memories of the sweet smell of strawberries come from this field just outside town, years ago that's the way it was planted then PYO or ready picked, either way under the shade of the shed it always smelled delicious, soft and a warm sweetness filling the air the way that only fresh picked berries can do. That's the way the memory will always stay with me.

I have stumbled across some information by pure luck when i found a parcel under the bench i was sitting on about enemy against working in this area. o thought someone had lost a present when I noticed the black object.
ah the car is here I better go get my case.
