Physician assistants [PA] and 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) Soldiers participate in a wreath laying ceremony in recognition of National PA month at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, Va., Oct. 6. Many ceremonies are held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier hosted by The Old Guard. The"It is such an honor to represent all PAs here today," Capt. Jeff Anderson, a physician assign to The Old Guard. "All PAs are commited to patient care, and we should always recognized their contributions."

On Jan. 15, 2019, the Latino Policy and Politics Initiative based at UCLA Luskin co-hosted a discussion in Oakland that brought together doctors, medical practitioners, academics and advocates to discuss California’s Latino physician shortage.
