Title inspired by the Led Zeppelin studio album released in 1975.

Rain has long thought to have healing powers - a gift from above that cleanses and renews. Rain doesn't just refresh the land, but also our spirits. It is a symbol of hope and a reminder that with a little TLC, even the harshest of environments can come alive again.
In addition to other spiritual benefits of rain, many metaphysical scholars and healers believe it has physical benefits as well. It is said that the feeling of rain on ones skin can raise your energy vibration which can help open up your Chakras and allow healing energy to flow through your body.
Since we are not able to feel the benefits of rain on our skins in a virtual world, I tried to create the next best thing - An immersive sound environment complete with guided meditations, Tibetan singing bowls and of course, the soothing sounds of rain and thunder. I hope you enjoy it.
Namaste.

We recently took a trip down the Oregon Coast, staying mostly at Beverly Beach. There was TOO much to see and shoot, it can make your head explode. I think the sky knew that and tormented me because we had no sun, no color, no sunsets and just gray gray gray. Hard to shoot epic coastal images in that kind of weather. So what does one do? Go where there is no sky to deal with, into the cave. I used the fish eye here, I had to. This was not really a cave, more like a depression (physical, not emotional). But the fish makes it look much deeper.
This is at Heceta Head Beach and the bridge in the distance is the historical Cape Creek Bridge. The gray sky actually helped here because it gave a fog-like haze outside that hugged the tree line. It worked in this case.
Let me know what you think.
Etta & Kahn
I much prefer that term to Social Distancing.
Etta sits here on the step while I do exercises down stairs. I think she finds it quite reassuring to be close. She's not really into any form of distancing :)

This artwork is to manifest how Chinese character illustrates our physical world by its shape. Sometimes, when looking in to it attentive enough, we might discover some interesting story presenting right there.
This piece is an example of Chinese character making it easier to get the “picture”:D
The physical limits
Thanks to the confinement at home I have discovered a bush of begonias. This one is invaded by a swarm of tiny snails that feed on it. At first I wanted to eradicate them but later I decided to observe and photograph them. They are minuscule in size of just 4mm and this implies developing all the technique I have in macroscopic photography. I have worked with my Nikon D750 and D500 cameras, the TC 1´7 and a Kenko 36 mm extension ring. All this assembly has been stabilized by a BENRO LB200 rail and a Leofoto LH40 ball joint. I am enjoying a lot.

I did my best to try and duplicate the circa 1975 classic album cover, Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti. The actual building depicted on that album cover is at 96 St Marks Place in the East Village, New York City, not far from Tompkins Square Park.
*Here's a photo of the actual classic album cover, for visual reference: i1.wp.com/thevinyljungle.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/2...
*Notice that there is actually one more floor/row of windows than what appears in the album. I guess some manual 'photoshopping' back in the day!
*A came across this fellow Flickr member who visited this site one day and happened to run into THE Robert Plant (singer for Led Zeppelin for those who don't know who that is), and here are his photos from that encounter - so cool!

In Greek mythology, Narcissus was a hunter from Thespiae in Boeotia who was known for his beauty.
He was proud, in that he disdained those who loved him.
Nemesis noticed this behaviour and attracted Narcissus to a pool, where he saw his own reflection in the water and fell in love with it, not realising it was merely an image.
Unable to leave the beauty of his reflection, Narcissus lost his will to live. He stared at his reflection until he died.
Narcissus is the origin of the term narcissism, a fixation with oneself and one's physical appearance or public perception.
These here, with a salmon trumpet, is a fragrant variety.
I (maybe wrongly) make a distinction, based on that fact, between Daffodils and Narcissus...
THANK you for ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated.
Have a wonderful day, filled with love, M, (*_*)
