We had a shipment of 2,000 dinosaurs (we include one with every Photojojo Store order) diverted from our fulfillment center to our San Francisco office for a photo shoot. (Because... why not?)
We're shooting again tomorrow morning -- if you want to help out or model, let us know on twitter!
I still have so many photographs from my Namibia trip that I'd like to process and post... that I figured I may as well post another one today.
This is... believe it or not... a single-frame image.
No prizes for guessing what the subject is here. :)
Hey... I've just discovered that Photojojo.com has an article on Vertoramas today... just in case you're interested... here is the link.
Nikon D300, Sigma 18-200mm at 18mm, aperture of f8, with a 1/125th second exposure.

Joelynne (SnapYappy) and I decided to try a diptych for the Team Up Thursday group. This week's theme was paper.
Top (complete with bokeh person!): Joelynne's
"We go through an endless supply of construction paper, flyers, old magazines, what have you, as the twins are learning to use safety scissors. :) "
Bottom: Mine
I decided to use this theme as a kick in the butt to play with my printer. I find the whole printing thing kind of overwhelming as there are so many things that need to be calibrated to get the colors to come out right (camera, monitor, photoshop, paper), so this was a good exercise for me. I learned a few things and now have most of my favorite shots from this autumn hanging on my wall.
This was a lot of fun. Thank you for suggesting it Joelynne!
EDIT: How fun to find discover this on the Flickr blog! Welcome to anyone who is visiting from there.
13 portrait images stiched into a long panorama and distorted with Photoshop. Follow this link to create your own 'Little Planets' (it isn't that hard).
{NOT MY IMAGES. Images from Photojojo.com}
It looks like the real thing - even comes with a cap!! When I first saw this, I thought, "my gosh, why would they do that to their Canon lens???" Pretty cool idea, for photography geeks like us =)
Club 241 Amazing Editing challenge - Little Planets. (method here: content.photojojo.com/tutorials/create-your-own-panorama-...) - based on a panorama of the harbour at Blankenberge in Belgium, taken in May 2015. (TZ60-348)
Saw Deb's beautiful neighborhood (www.flickr.com/photos/25154062@N02/7475019772/) and I've decided to try one myself. So fun! Here is my 1st attempt. :)

40/365 ― other worlds
longreads.com/2015/04/02/the-answer-is-never/
“Regardless of the staggering dimensions of the world about us, the density of our ignorance, the risks of catastrophes to come, and our individual weakness within the immense collectivity, the fact remains that we are absolutely free today if we choose to will our existence in its finiteness, a finiteness which is open on the infinite.” ―Simone de Beauvoir
To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure how the birds ended up being so well defined. They move in odd patterns. I suspect they all just happened to be changing direction as I took this exposure.
When photographing swarms of grackles, I highly recommend wearing machine washable clothing. And a hat.
Several hundred landed in a parking lot very near where I was shooting. Most were on the ground, but a few dozen were on top of a rather unfortunate car. And, there were thousands in the surrounding trees.
By the way, these grackles are known to attack bystanders:

Taken at the Photojojo Photo Safari through the Neon Boneyard in Las Vegas, the final resting place of decades of vintage vegas neon signs. We were psyched that so many people came out and had a great time, it was an amazing success! Thanks so much to HP for sponsoring the event, which allowed us to take everyone to such an amazing location to shoot, yay!
If you are interested in Photojojo Safaris you can see photos and videos from past events in this set, and sign up for more info at www.photojojo.com/safaris

Gama-Go makes really cool Tees and Hoodies and other stuff. Their office is down the hall from Photojojo, and Kelly and I paid them a visit and scored some sweet stickers.
The cup is on the left and the lens is on the right, just in case you couldnt see the difference!
Cool Canon (yay) cup is from photojojo.com, they also offer a nikon (boo) cup too. The detailing is very very close to the real thing and can fool non-photographers easily :)
This is my first go at a Panography. It's quite fun (if time consuming) to produce, zoom to see more detail. Already I can see how I'd do things differently, and how the rules work. I'm really not that happy with the right hand side of this image but it'll do for a first attempt.
This composite was made up of 39 separate images which is probably over-kill. Each was then overlaid one on top of another with an opacity of 60%. The final image composite is something crossed between Pablo Picasso, Georges Braques and David Hockney - not that I'm comparing myself to those artists it's more the aesthetic.
I tried to keep the monument the central anchor and built the rest of the image around it. Annoyingly the RHS didn't join up with the left, but I think I could do better next time. For more great examples check out SMALLCAPS photostream.
**You can see a great crop of this image on Tamjpn's Photostream, take a look at her other works too**
Update: Thanks all for looking at my Panography, this is the first image(s) I've taken with 1000 views. I have another one sitting in kit form I'll eventually assemble.
I made this using Impossible Project PX100 for my tutorial on how to make Instant film photograms, a.k.a. Instagrams on Photojojo! Check it out!
A big big big thanks to photojojo for including me in their list of 20 affordable photographers:
