A snapshot for my camera Pentax K-3 .

This is #19 in a May photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "a favorite place."

Sitting on the back deck in the sun is a favorite place. But, I really only do it a couple of times a year.

Today, I was very entertained watching a pair of wrens building a nest in a wonderful bird house that my sister-in-law made. Throughout the afternoon, they retrieved little bits of grass or leaves that they used for construction.

But in the little drama depicted above, one of the wrens got overly ambitious and brought a rather large twig. After a number of attempts at getting it through the small hole, it gave up and flew away to find something more suitable.

In the last frame, the other wren, who had been in the bird house the whole time, peeks out and seems to be wondering what the heck happened.

Well hey guys. Day 3 already!! Wow. HAHAHAHA it's only been 3 days and I consider this an achievement.

So this took me AGES. I'm pretty sure I have this condition where I shake ALL THE DAMN TIME because it took me so long to take this. There's like 30 other photos and they're ALL BLURRY.

SOOC apart from crop and slight curves.

Idk, I just love my mockingjay pin. It's my baby.

"Wanna see what I got you today? It's a mockingjay pin. As long as you have it, nothing bad will happen to you. I promise."

'"They let you wear one thing from your district in the arena. One thing to remind you of home. Will you wear this?" She holds out the circular gold pin that was on her dress earlier. I hadn't paid much attention to it before, but now I see it's a small bird in flight.'

Photo a Day May - tree climbing always fun!

A drop of water dripping off the tip of a blade of grass.

This is #28 in a May photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "the weather today."

Not only today, but the whole weekend has been gorgeous. This photo was taken at Peabbles Point in Cape Elizabeth. That's Portland Head in the distance.

GUYS I KNOW.

IT'S TECHNICALLY NOT A SKYLINE.

BUT CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE IT IS?

I HAD MATHS REVISION AND ART HOMEWORK TO DO.

THIS IS A BAD MONTH FOR A PROJECT.

I STILL LOVE YOU GUYS

Ok so I was tagged by THIS lovely person, Ellie and THIS lovely person, Katherine

So the challenge is to write your 4 favourite songs then explain why they mean so much to you. I wanted to do this because sometimes a person's music speaks louder than their words do, and music means different things to different people. For some, it's something to pass the time, for others, it's something to take their minds off the rest of the world. I fit into the latter category.

#1 Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I just honestly love this song. The lyrics speak out for most people and if I'm on my own listening to music and this comes on I will just cry and cry and cry some more until it's over. Yes, I'm VERY EMOTIONAL when it comes to this song.

#2 Greenday - American Idiot:

One nation controlled by the media, information age of hysteria, it's calling out to idiot America.

I grew up with this song, I guess. I've been listening to it for as long as I can remember, and once my dad explained the meaning of the song to me, (read THIS if you're interested) I just became fascinated with it. :)

#3 The Punch Brothers - Dark Days

Mother, listen to my heart, just as one beat ends, another starts, you can hear no matter where you are.

I think this is one of the most beautiful songs from the Hunger Games soundtrack and I've loved it since I first heard it. It's also my favourite so yeah :D

OH MY THIS IS SO DIFFICULT

#4 Coldplay - Yellow

Your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones, turn into something beautiful, and you know, for you I'd bleed myself dry.

Ok so THIS SONG is just beautiful and gorgeous and pretty and lovely and oh dear I love it so much. This is the song that I want played for my first dance at my wedding :D IT JUST BRINGS OUT ALL OF MY EMOTIONS.

This is #29 in a May photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "a number."

Today I finally dropped back into the 150s. It's amazing how motivating it can be to know that you are going to be taking all of your clothes off on stage in front of 500 people! Try it! It really works!

This is #06 in a May photo-a-day project that includes a random challenge each day. Today's challenge... "you."

Here's a photo of me! Shocking, right? I shot this today on the docks at Camp Ellis, Saco, Maine after a visit with Mom.

This is 2a because I had shot a similar photo and submitted it just a few minutes earlier. When I glanced up again I knew it would make a better shot. Sometimes things get better if you wait a bit.

Strobe - SB900 cam right, Di622 cam left into bookend, both flagged from camera, fired by onboard.

I might as well continue these photos. I've had mostly positive response to them. Feel free to join the fun. Just tag your photos #photoadaymay.
