This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera with a KOWA LENS-S 1:3.5/150mm lens using Fujicolor 400-H film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
To celebrate the launch of my Phish-themed mystery novel THE ASHAKIRAN TAPE (www.amazon.com/Ashakiran-Tape-Head-Cases/dp/1517479975/), we projected the Magnaball webstream on our neighbor's walls in Ngor, Dakar.
I receive several of these a week (not all from the Royal Bank, of course) and use them as examples in my course. By coincidence, this one arrived the day I was to talk about it in class. This one is pretty pathetic, containing spelling mistakes and grammatical errors that are dead giveaways, but still I am sure some people are fooled. This same scam went around the Internet last summer, so probably this is just a lame attempt at copying.

I get a ton of phishing scam emails, but I've never seen one claiming to be the IRS. Now that tax season is about to start, this is a disturbing turn of events.
Phishing ebay, paypal, etc is pretty messed up, but phishing for someone's entire life details from the IRS is much, much worse. Burn in hell, scammers.

So the hotel has this little snack area. DEADLY I say! i haven't bought ice cream in I don't know how long but tonight I felt the need. I haven't tried this before so I bought some. blah! It was good...but so sweet. I think I will be tossing the rest. It definitely cured my need though.
Jeez. Here I am an internet expert and I had to view source on the message to make sure it was fake (the link pointed to an IP). These jerks are getting really good.
