A ceremony to commemorate the 2,565th anniversary of the birth of the ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius was held at the over-700-year-old Confucius Temple in Beijing, Sept 28, 2014.

Another cassette j-card. Brian always managed to be missing from our photo shoots.

The sign is for a parking lot at a local exhibition building.

We took a leisurely stroll along the full length of the Philosophenweg (Philosopher's Walk) and Hirschgasse (Deer Alley) with its gorgeous views of the old city and Schloss Heidelberg much of the way.

This sign marks the beginning of the philosoper's walk. We did the route from North to South, though there's no real loss in doing it in reverse.

The arched eave of this temple, a frequently used design, is beautifully balanced below the sweeping pagoda.

I think it's starting point of Philosopher's walk or some where near that.
