Last night was the annual Honors Banquet for students graduating from the Honors College. This is me with my colleague Helen (r) and our student Francesca, who graduated with a 4.0 average! She also won an award for her senior honors thesis. (That's Ted, the Honors College Dean, in the background.)

From the 10th century onwards, this town became an important link with the Slav peoples, especially those of Poland and Pomerania. During its period of greatest prosperity, from the 12th century onwards, the architecture of Bamberg strongly influenced northern Germany and Hungary. In the late 18th century it was the centre of the Enlightenment in southern Germany, with eminent philosophers and writers such as Hegel and Hoffmann living there.

I am an Abstract Artist primarily influenced by Abstract Expressionism and Futurist Artists. Images that reveal themselves in my work are coincidental as my work focuses on balance, form, contrast, continuation, stroke and movement. Clear manifestations of images revealing themselves to the viewer (if any) are delivered subconsciously. What do you see?
