The Phil Lesh Quintet played an amazing set at the 25th anniversary of the Warren Haynes' Christmas Jam held at the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, N.C.
Phil was a normal office llama. He was good with numbers, liked his coffee, and could gossip like nobody's business. However, he was not used to this new way of life. Let us start from the beginning. He had been fired cleanly and promptly by his boss, and he had to move back in with his mother. No longer able to keep a steady job he decided to go into the baking profession. The moment he found a house he was out of the dingy apartment his mother adored so much and making five-star oatcakes and pies.
Just as he was feeling as if it would all be okay, he got an eviction notice. The owner had been away for a couple of months in Mexico, visiting family, when a neighbor llama decided to "sell" his house. In other words, the long-gone neighbor had his money and Phil had no house. He would have two weeks to move out. At least he still had his job.
For Phil, all this comes back to an office job. A good paying office job. Phil now hates downsizing.
He finds his mother has gotten a new roommate to split the cost of the apartment with, and can't let him stay. So poor old Phil lives in a cardboard box on Hollow Ave. where his mother lives. He still works as a baker but sold his old bakery and bought a new one so he could afford his box.
